Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Then world behind and home ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I dunno, is she?
Sweet face, in any case.
I shouldn't look at that site. There's a dog at the local shelter whose face looks like she could be Cisco's sister. They're saying she's an Australian Shepherd mix, though.

I missed seeing them when they came to the Boston area a couple of years ago. The place was sold out before I found out about the concert. I have their CD "Otherworld"; it's great!

It's hard to tell the difference between some of the Aussies and Borders. If they leave the tail on the Aussie, they're about the same dog, except for color variations :~)
Our Espresso maker just 'ploded, sortof... we heard a *POP* and pulled the cap off and saw loose parts.

I fear for tomorrow morning....

~sigh~ No, she isn't.
We went to go take a look at her and possibly have a one-on-one, but she was adopted under our noses.
We walked out to see her and just as we knelt to talk to her, the Humane Society lady came up and led her out on a leash to visit with a family that adopted her on the spot.
I'm glad she got adopted. She had a very sweet face. :-D
They had a couple of dogs there that reminded me of Cisco too!

Yikes!!
I've got a big 6-cup cafetera I could give ya, but it's a long drive for a coffee pot. :-/
Might as well run out and buy a new one locally.
We're planning on heading south this weekend. I'm going to carry down a few bags of Pilon with me, just in case we get a chance to swing by. I'll pack the cafetera too.

We ordered a new one, we can use small cafeteria, or ~gasp~ the drip coffee-maker in the mean-time. :~) Thanks for the offer though in such a grave circumstance :~)

*grin* You betcha.
Do you want the 6-cup cafetera anyway as a backup? That's all I'm using it for now since I ordered a brand-new one.

Planning to go over tomorrow and ask to borrow a cup of coffee?
Spent the whole day outside. I have been tanning since June, cannot get brown, but I sit in the sun for twenty-five minutes and am boiled pink.

The tanning beds use only one of the two types of rays, and I think they have intensity settings.
An old boyfriend of mine had his own tanning booth, he had serious psoriasis and really needed it in winter to keep that under control. He had different bulbs and different settings, depending on whether he wanted a light burn or a tan. Some of them he'd only do for about a minute. The commercial tanning places might be pretty conservative on what they use.

BTW, there's a place in town here called "Jamaica Me Tan" - I always thought that was a cool name for a tanning parlor :~)

Oh, no doubt, it's just frustrating. I am too WASP to tan properly.

Evenin! I'm grateful to safely be in gorgeous:

T'was a long day on the ol' airplane. I was sooooo THIRSTY by the time I arrived. This whole "no liquids on the plane" thing was rough on this lil' traveler. Ugh.
Picked up some cheap paperbacks to stay entertained on the plane. And, Jen, I found another stinker of an author. Not as bad as Matthew Reilley, but in the same league: Jack DuBrul. If *he* can get published, anyone can.
