Roy Romer (former chair of the DNC) was governor of Colorado and the Ramseys were big donors. I think Romer squashed the investigation and I believe Romer left the DNC chairmanship for reasons related to the case. How nice. (I recall hearing Romer is superintendent of Los Angeles County schools...)
There is one hell of a lot more to this picture than just a simple murder.

You don't "know" that Patsy Ramsey murdered her daughter. You sure seem to want it to be true, though. It's a good thing that you are not the Judge.

May God rest her soul. I never believed that she killed Jon Benet. IF I'm right, she'll be with her now. IF I'm wrong, she'll reap her just reward, because God knows if she is guilty of killing Jon Benet. Prayers go out for her husband and family.

would that be saimin, dry min or dober min?

The Ramseys had nothing to do with their daughter's death. There was a gang of buglars operating in the area at the time and there was a great deal of evidence one or more of them were responsible for her murder. The police just botched the case right from the gate and rather than admit they screwed up, they kept hammering on the parents. I have come to expect many on FR to jump to unfounded conlusions.

Knives, phone cords, ties, socks, ropes, tape, ice picks, bottles, guns and other items used to murder people are taken from the very homes the person is killed in time and time again.
Also, as for the Ramsey's lawyering up, they got a lawyer involved when the PD refused to release JonBenet's body for burial. The PD also had to admit that even though there was a laywer involved, the Ramseys continued to cooperate with the PD including taking lie detector tests, DNA samples, blood samples, hair samples, hand writing samples etc. The Chief of police from Boulder specifically stated that the Ramseys cooperated during the investigation for months and reports that they were not coorperating were false.
Explain the unknown DNA sample that was found in JonBenet's underwear that is still being run through CODIS without a match.

If it was the son, did he write the ransom note? He was only 9 at the time. I can't imagine him writing a 3 page ransom note.

Good for you. The incompetent local police and the MSM had these unfortunate people tried and convicted when there was a great deal of evidence that one or more of a gang of buglars operating from a nearby junkyard actually did the deed.

She had been treated over the years for what started as ovarian cancer, and it likely did spread to her brain. She had several recurrances of the cancer since the murder, as I recall.

I believe Saimin is more Japanese. I live in Hawaii and you can find it in most restaurants. Locals here actually eat it for breakfast.

If I remember correctly, all of the lie-detector tests they passed were because they formulated the questions that were asked beforehand. The tests were not on the up-and-up for that reason and should be negated.

First, it's not the majority. Even the Boulder PD came up with analysts who could and would not say it was Patsy Ramsey's handwriting.
Secondly, handwriting is once again, not an exact science. It is in fact more left up to the interpretation of the analysis who's looking at the documents.
No criminologist or detective will put all their eggs into a hat when it comes to handwriting analysis for the very reasons we've discussed on here. You can take various people who will come to different conclusions on who wrote a note.

Obviously you've never been in that situaltion, if you had you'd probably do exactly as they did. Your attorney is going to tell you to keep your mouth shut and say nothing to the press. The DA can use even the most innocuous statement you make as ammo that will put a noose around your neck. No matter if you are innocent or not, once you are indicted your chances of being convicted are high, even if the evidence is flimsy.

Of course she did it. Remember the note: "Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We respect your bussiness but not the country that it serves. At this time we have your daughter in our posession. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter." Who else could have written that note.

i have to admit, my first thought was that I hope she told someone what she knew before she died. If she was involved somehow, maybe now her husband will feel free to speak. Either way, very sad.

PR was a domineering b.... who was reliving her childhood through her daughter -- somewhere along the way the little girl didn't measure up -- I always thought the brother did it out of jealousy because PR doted on JonBonnet -- either way life has a way of leveling -- the whole family was dysfunctional.

I've known a few people in my days who were into pageants while growing up. You'll hear both good and bad stories about it.
I have a seamstress that owns a clothing shop in the town I live. She began in pageants at the age of 2 and went well into her adulthood, even winning Ms. Florida back in the 80's. She and I have talked a great deal about her experiences and she has very little bad to say about her experiences. In fact, she credits the pageants with making her an extremely friendly, confident, assertive, professional person. Her daughter is currently in pageants and absolutely loves it.
I would say the biggest problem with children in pageants are the mothers who are living out their fantasy through their child. Yet, we can find parents like that at every little league park on Saturdays who are pushing their children in sports to a ridiculous extreme.
