She had been treated over the years for what started as ovarian cancer, and it likely did spread to her brain. She had several recurrances of the cancer since the murder, as I recall.
So young to die.
My next door neighbors sister passed away two weeks ago after a three year battle with bone cancer. She was also only 49.
Her funeral was heartbreaking. Her oldest daughter is less than a month away from having her first child. She never made it, though she tried so hard, to see the birth of her first grandchild.
