I am not against helping those who need help. I am against lifelong welfare, generation after generation, and help for illegals who come here just to get welfare. I also am angry that if I or someone in my family needed help, we would be turned down because we are citizens and not from the right ethnic group.

Why bother giving to charity programs then if your against welfare? Its just the same thing isn't it? So is a mugging, by your logic. Charity is voluntary, welfare taxation is at the point of a gun. Also, there aren't many charities that skim 72% off the top for bureaucratic processing.

Believe it or not, this happened to me. During my lean college years I went to the SS office to try to get on Medicaid. All I wanted was a catastrophic coverage policy. I never got past the front desk. The admin looked at me and said, "Your a white male, you can get along on your own."
I will never forget that. Now, I am very happy that I didn't get any aid, I'd rather tell that story than one of being a successful mooch.
