WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

Gym? Why, the gym in the video? It's on the skybridge level, just over the esspresso bar and pastry bakery. We've got the most advanced equipment in space. Trackback up to #2927 and take a look.

I take it you now understand why I recommend those Saiga shotguns. :) They are a superb shooter, and an excellent combat arm.

Trying to act dramatic -- in text mode.
Now THAT strikes me as funny! I think it's the "act" part.
"Be" dramatic in print?
Yeah.
"Act" dramatic in print?
Uh, I'm envisioning the Mad Hatter with a keyboard.

You spend the whole week coming up with this stuff? It's really funny -- keep all of it together somewhere.

I am DEEPLY pleased with this new weapon, and I thank you for, some 18 months ago, alerting me to their existence.

I'm still bad at it, though it truly is a lost art...

The debut last week--which was really a failure, in multiple senses--was conceived in about five minutes and I just ran with it. This one is just under seven pages long and took about an hour to write altogether--mind you, we're talking about ten minutes one day, fifteen a couple days later, and so on. I have next week's show composed in my head; now I've just got to write it out.

You keep up these posts and you're going to have to get a blog to host them on; maybe blogger.com or typepad.com
Blogger's free. Typepad has a free introductor yperiod, but I don't know the figures after that.

It IS hard. That's part of the reason behind my posting; to improve (maintain?) my use of the language.
I had to face the fact that, in my technical profession, I deal mostly with design software, some email and a few phone calls each day; not exactly a huge outlet for self-expression or the practice of the art of language.
So...I've got to post. Opine. Debate. Discuss. Dissent, even.
To boldly go where no semicolon has gone before...!
Stick with it; it's worth it.

Since I know of
your interest in this matter, I can only say, "Uh-Oh!"
Mark Steyn gives a long, discoursive treatment of something that most of us ought to memorize, if we haven't committed it to heart already.
Sleep well, if you can.

I was thinking about Kim having his own MySpace page, back when he was pushing the Making Money program, but I gave up on it. I think "brog" has a nice ring to it.
BTW, have you seen this thread yet?
