WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

I have a basket of supplements that I replenish each month...no wonder I have nothing left for fun! LOL!
Happy 4th!
To: Monkey Face
I know what you mean! Lot of this stuff can get extremely pricey. Not to mention hard to swallow all those pills.
I have cut back on some things and just tried to eat better.

Yah...I don't do well when my schedule is interrupted all of a sudden. I need planning, or my brain (then the rest of me) short-circuits.
Not pretty when that happens.

I eat a hypoglycemic diet when I can. My daughter has a pantry full of carbohydrates, so it's pretty hard for me here.
I hate to complain because they have opened their home to me. But I sure wish I was in my own place...one more month...then Gramma's Boot Camp closes for good.

No, still appears as "< font color="& # 147 ; blue & # 148;" >
In other words, "< font color="blue" >
My computer must pick it up differently from yours.

Made me feel good. Yeah I rag on schools even to my friend that are public school teachers but some of them truly get it.
The kids do need to know why we are in this war and it seems to be a group that is totally ignored.
I was thinking about that the other day. I was buying AC (my youngest niece) a set of the first five Cherry Ames books and I noted that they were all published during WWII and all of them had a pro-American story line.
Made me wonder if something like that would even get published now days.

All I can tell you for sure is that it is translating the word blue into hexadecimal. Funny that it doesn't happen with red.

Because of my heritage being so military-oriented over the centuries, I'm fiercely patriotic, and have very little tolerance for liberals, and others who think America needs to "loosen up."
With any luck at all, the next generation of American kids will be more conservative than the last one.
That school has a lot to be proud of. They have my thanks!

I know that vitamins can get expensive, but my perception is -- vitamins are cheaper than medicine.
Of course, if you are already on the medicine, then it may be too late for vitamin or herbal therapy.
But maybe not!

Fixed it, quotation marks for those three were of a different shape in MS Word, than the rest:

If it makes me feel better, that's worth a lot of the cost.
I learned a new breathing technique that helps with my ashtma symptoms, which are evidently centered a lot in my vocal cords...and I was able to walk by the air fresheners at the grocery store...and didn't cough! That was amazing.
So it is a good day.

I don't take any prescription drugs except for the rare dose of nitroglycerin and/or albuterol. Everything else is OTC or herbal.
I don't see how something with so many serious side-effects can be "good" for you. I don't want that stuff in my body.

Even though I'm on my holidays over here, I better go to bed, so goodnight and
