The woman who has accused three Duke University men's lacrosse players of raping her failed to identify at least one of them in a photo array eight days after the reported attack, according to a motion filed Friday by defense attorneys. The motion also says that she then selected him as an attacker more than two weeks later.

Thanks for the ping. Was the convicted embezzeler let off scott free for her probation violation??
Don't know the answer to that. Still looking for more info...
ROFL....what a lovely pic of the skank!!
Ok...thanks. :-)
Perhaps Whoopi Goldberg can play the lovely Kimmy in the made for TV movie.
But pitted against Jimmy Hoffa, Natalie Holloway, and a woman writing letters to Scott Petersen in Jail - there's an argument to be made that there is news here. Fresh news, speaking relatively.
Thank you abb - for that article.
That's more like it.
These guys are getting treated like INFORMANTS, and I suspect they had relationship for some time.
I did a search on Kim Roberts (and all the variations) in all the court systems for Durham; nothing turned up. I did it last week and I did it over the weekend. Nothing.
This is public record. The lacrosse players were listed in this system. But NOT Kimmy. As far as I know only informants or people in protection are not included on these lists. Now, if the trial isn't scheduled yet, or has been postponed, or if it's months off, that is another issue.
I even checked under Impaired Driving - the system had NADA.
In North Carolina, so much is public record as this is. This is in the statutes that this information is public record.

Informant status at some point would explain the lenient sentence. N.C. is not normally a lenient state.

Are there any photos of her giving the obscene gesture?
I say the prosecution will call only Kim, but will ask her no questions...
The state will simply display her as exhibit "A"... It will be glaring evidence to all present from her "light" complexion that a white man has obviously raped a black woman... This alone should be quite sufficient to prove the AV was raped and no other witnesses or evidence should be necessary to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt...
The state then rests...
Is Nifong really going to walk into court with this crew of lit firecrackers? You know they will keep going off like this between now and any trial and then have the grand finale at the trial.
Since no one else has, I guess I will try my own quiz with a few additions:
1. Kim Roberts. Neither or defense as a hostile witness to confirm she saw nothing. I guess Nifong might be forced to call her to try to set their arrival at 11:30. [Here and all other places I say defense, assumes for discussion that somehow this case gets beyond the summary motion to acquit after Nifong is done.]
2. Crystal Mangum. Prosecution of course to claim rape and maybe ID the 3 if that is allowed.
3. Sgt Shelton DPD. Defense to get in the recantation before the recantation of her recantation. And to get in all the various stories Mangum told.
4. SANE in training. Neither, if Nifong calls her he opens the door for who she actually had sex with that night. The defense will not want to call her because she will claim "injuries" consistent with rape.
5. DNA experts from NC state lab. Maybe neither, I would say the defense if anyone. I can not believe that Nifong believes an inconclusive on a nail in the trash can would be worth hearing that there was nothing connecting two of the defendants to her. So I can see the defense calling them to testify that no DNA was found that matched any of the defendants.
6. Investigators in the case. Maybe Nifong, but what do they add to his case? What did their investigation find. Maybe to prove some of her stuff was found at the house, but nobody is charged with robbery/theft and no one disputes that she was at the house. Maybe the defense to get in Mangum's cell phone if it yields eveidence Nifong does not want in.
7. One or more Duke lacrosse team members. Certainly the defense will call those at the party who can testify they saw nor heard that seemed like a rape to them. Also some may be able to testify that they were with one or more of the defendants while Mangum was in that bathroom.
8. DA/chief investigator Nifong. Probably no one, but I could see the defense calling him to ask him why he ordered the detectives to violate policy for the photo array.
9. Private lab DNA experts. Probably neither as they would be redundant if the state DNA experts testify. I guess the defense may bring in their own expert to underline the DNA non-results.
10. Boyfriend/driver to the party. Maybe the defense to help tie down the timeline.
11. Papa Mangum. Hahahahahahahahahaha. I dare either side.
12. Camera experts. Both will have them ready, so probably neither.
13. Other police officers. Nifong I guess will try to bring in other officers who did not hear her recantation, if any exist.
14. Duke MD. If there is an MD who examined her, then Nifong will likely have testimony about her injuries trying to blame the team for them despite her fall and showing up with injuries.
Going over this shows just how thin this case is.
I bet that story is one lie after another. I bet that white kid at NCCU suffered from being in a nonprotected minority before this came up and I have no doubt since. It is just a standard old media spin article.
How about video? :)
Anyone able to screen capture?
