She's wounded; I can tell you that just on the evidence you've given. Makes me wonder what the Hell happened to her. Yes, her actions were inexcusable, but that behavior has roots; ugly ones, I'll wager. Eight-to-five she's living with an inner sense of personal unworthiness.

Quite the opposite; they're PAINFULLY aware of that, and they demonstrate as much to everyone around them on a continual basis.
While their acts are worthy of scorn, what they really need is healing. But few will ever get what they need because thier actions will simply close the loop on the self-fulfilling prophecy spoken into their lives way back in the fuzzy memories of their childhood days.
This is what happens when you destroy a child. To kill him outright would be a mercy.

There's a pastor at a church I attended when I lived in Orange County, CA and he would go with some other people from the church to the Women's prison to build relationships and counsel and pray with the women incarcerated there. He said, "You get a soul that's been that twisted up and knotted and it takes a lot of 'oil and wine' to loosen it up and get it straight again."
It's like untangling a huge snarl of 8lb test monofilament. You or I out fishing would just cut it off, and re-tie the leader to the fresh-cut end, but you can't do that with a human soul. You've got to spend -- no, invest -- the time to build a relationship, to care and counsel and begin to sort out the forest of tangled loops and strands. Maybe, with time, and the patience of Job, you'll actually succeed in getting someone straightened out.

Awww... Even though I'm more of a cat person, I do like dogs. A lot of the people who live on my parents' street have dogs - mostly small dogs, but no Yorkshire Terriers. Someday, when I have my own house, with a yard, I think I'd like to have a larger dog (to go with Winston and some cats. LOL!)
Now I'm really confused?
