I am on two week school break which means I get to run and play and read books that are not assigned or educational.
So I began with a mystery series that a friend recommended. I am on page 47 when a new character is introduced, white, older, conservative, active in politics, solid family man.
I immediately say to my self, I bet he is the killer. Then I say, Nah, you are just being to cynical and kept reading, sure enough on page 221....
I was tempted to throw things.
I just wanted a nice light read. Why is it that so many newer books feel compelled to inject politics into the story line. And why are conservatives always the evil ones? Why not the hippy? (yes there was one)
And so I scream.
