, N.C. — New DNA evidence may link a Duke University lacrosse player to an exotic dancer who claims she was raped in the team's house, a Durham newspaper reported Wednesday.

Citing "several well-placed sources," The Herald Sun of Durham, N.C., reported that tissue collected from under the alleged victim's fingernail might match a player who was at the team party where the attack supposedly occurred.

Simply because I'm not following some party line you think is in force at the moment, you suggest I not be allowed to post here.

Look, part of the reason to participate in FR is to tag out the plaintiff's bar when they attempt to pervert our legal system. You'll find your little friends who think ALL defense lawyers are honest over at DU or Smirkingchimp.com ~ not here!@

>>WHere you been?

I might ask you the same.

Not following this case very closely, I'll wager. If you had, you'd realize how ridiculous this prosecution really is.

I'd suggest you take a very, very, very good look at the Duke University report all of you seem to be hanging your hats on.

Just yesterday it was revealed that it is based on a partially overheard cellphone conversation.

Then there's the defense lawyers in the case ~ let's wait for the trial to hear how they put it all together.

In the meantime there will undoubtedly be more DNA tests reported.

The Duke "report all of you seem to be hanging your hats on" is not the basis for 99% of why I think this case is a severe miscarriage of justice.

Why don't you get informed of what has transpired to date, before wading into a group of people who have been following this closely, in a troll-like manner.

I've been on this particular case since it started.

From the very first we've had a small group of Freepers who have followed a party line that goes something like this ~ (1) It's just the towns people, all Democrats, against these young men, all Republicans, who are harmless athletes, (2) The stripper, who has a criminal record, is elementally evil and is telling lies and can't even keep her story straight with her close friend, the other stripper, (3) Any evidence to the contrary has been manufactured after the fact, or is a lie, etc.

When the facts came out that 15 of these guys already had criminal records, with one of them tearing up jack in my own neighborhood in a distant city, you should have abandoned your party line. It won't work anymore.

These people all have a track record for violating our laws and just because some of them are black and some of them are rich, those are NOT reasons for us to treat any of them with kid gloves.

In the meantime, the case progresses and the initial "body of facts" have been refined. Seems to me, though, that with each such refinement it looks worse and worse for the accused.

And no, I don't care if the Prosecutor is a Democrat ~ he knows what he is ~ and he has to live with the shame of it.

It is a case of young men at the age of asking for trouble, to reach out on the phone one late night and requesting it special delivery. Trouble came running.

It is a case of young women at the age of motherhood, placing themselves in the gutter for the sake of raising funds and whatever else they so raise.

It is a case of absent parents and absent in loco parentis.

It is a case of three cultures of excuses, all met at the same address one night.

The young college jocks, the young single mom from the wrong side of the tracks, and the esteemed University and all of its staff. All full of excuses.

Only one man isn't making excuses here. The prosecutor.

He's making plenty of other "stuff", but none of it excuses.

The prosecutor is working under multiple disabilities. First of all, he's a Democrat and those guys don't believe crime exists, or that there are bad people.

Plus, he's exceedingly fearful some major party donor is related to one of these guys, or likes Duke LaCrosse.

One trusts the lab people won't screw him up any more than normal in this situation.

Exactly. If you don't follow the leader on these threads then you are a troll. It makes me laugh. But it is the usual suspects! LOL!!!

Last night on the radio I heard a representative from a group called The Coalition of the Concerned, Durham N.C. He stated, that an indictment against a 3rd LAC player will be issued this Monday and that they are in the process of starting a web site to generate world-wide SUPPORT for this liar stripper. The url is www.ourheartsworld.com. I would really like to know who is behind this group and who fed them the indictment date info.

First off, I did not call you a troll. After reading what you posted, which included, in your words "220,000 urls for me to search" to justify your statement that date rape drugs "can cause people to think they've been raped", I said, tongue in cheek, that you sound like a troll. A Troll being someone who makes statements of fact to justify their position that have no basis in fact.

Thanks for your attempt at "educating" me, but where I live we have had in the past a huge problem with GHB and I'm very familiar with the effects. Unfortunately, your "victim" seems to have had a strange reaction to GHB in that I or no one I've heard of nor none of the 220,000 urls you sent me to has any reference to someone "thinking they've been raped" when they weren't.

Also, in one of your posts you intimated that there was no evidence that would help the defense or some such, and why would anyone think the stripper or her friend would lie? How about when this thing first started? You know, when the stripper and her stripper friend were sitting outside in the car and called the police? And said they were walking by and someone called them a "nigger"? And later said that it was not them that called? Whoops, and later said it was her? Etc, Etc.

So, trollish behavior sometimes gets you called a troll. Personally, I don't care. As they say "My giveadamn is busted". But I do care about this case. I've been there. And this whole thing has been BS from the start.

Some of us make it our business to be aware of who the enemy really is ~ both of those are financed by George Sors, Osama Bin Laden's running dog lackey who is so highly thought of by the Democrats these days.

There are, as you saw about reference 7, several variations on GHB out there, and the primary drug with which you are most familiar, as well as the variations, have different effects on people depending on whether or not they were also using alcohol.

Exactly why did you imagine the writers of all those articles used the word "hallucination"?

If you review what the lady said, that was the "conscious" one who did all the talking. There are many reports (from both sides in this particular case) that the AK was either unconscious, or intoxicated, throughout the time period in question.

This is simply one way to reconcile these reports.

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20060513/D8HIJAG00.html indicates that when the results were handed over to the defense attorney(s), and we had someone else than the Raleigh-Durham news media reporting on the situation, none of the DNA results found under the fingernail(s) linked to the two guy's already accused although it did match some of the players.

Now, coming to the vaginal swab, supposedly there was some non AV DNA in there, but none of it matched any of the players.

I do hope you can keep this straight ~ two differet sets of DNA tests. One says no players; the other says some players. Neither says "accused guys".

"I am sure that I have DNA on me from shaking hands with a co-worker this morning. Did I rape him?"

I had similiar thoughts on reading this. She made contact with a lot of people in that house. I'm sure she has some female DNA also.
