Thanks. It was neat reading about the idols. Reading about Elliot, I noticed that Simon said he was one of the nicest contestants ever on Idol. Too bad he is gone!

I do to. And if she does I will have all the evidence I need that this show and the votes are a fraud and I won't watch a single second of any additional seasons. I feel the same way.

I do too.

I just watched his performances on AI.com and you tube.com. He was always consistent and, imho, never off key. I hope the best for this guy - who seems very genuine and kind.

This one scares me

Cause it looks like she's doing a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the head. Tay Tay looks a little scared, too.

I hope when the dust settles he will put some plan together to take of his career and his desire to give back something.

Eliot is an absolute inspiration for others to develop their talents irregardless of life situations that could get in the way of less motivated or confident people.

He serves those with disabilities best by being normal....not making a big deal of his disabilities. He should do his good works for diabetics and those with hearing loss out of the public eye....IMHO. I'd LOVE to see him as the opening act for Soul Patrol when the AI commitment is over.

I close my eyes and listen to Eliot, and it's a wonderful experience. He has passion and kindness in his voice.

In my work with teens, I've already used him as a current example of why one should not give up on their dreams.

AI missed the boat on this one....they had the true AIs, in Taylor and Eliot, and somehow didn't elevate them enough.

Eliot will do wonderfully in the medium-sized indoor venues such as at casinos and rehabilitated older theatres in the northeast.

"And like at any good party, eventually you tell the valet to run along and just go get the car."

LOL! I have definitely been there! Well, always good to take a breather on the back porch and return when the conversation has changed. :o)

as I got older I found that I was attracted to men with a beautiful speaking voice regardless of their looks.

Me, too. The voice is a window to the soul.

For those who still don't know, here is a brief bio of our man Elliott Yamin....

Elliott Yamin (pronounced yah-meen) was born in Los Angeles, California on July 20th, 1978. His birth name is actually Efraym Elliott Yamin. He began singing at the age of five and he has had no formal vocal training. As a child, he suffered from allergies to grass and pollen. Yamin is 90% deaf in his right ear, which he mentioned in the third round of the semi-finals. When he was eleven years old, he moved to Richmond, Virginia. At the age of seventeen, Yamin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and has to wear an insulin pump. He attended Douglas S. Freeman High School in the West End Richmond neighborhood until he was asked to leave during his sophomore year. He went to work at Foot Locker and with the help of his employer, he eventually received his GED. He later worked with a jazz band, DJed for a radio station under the name "E-Dub", and worked at Westbury Pharmacy, a job he left to audition for American Idol.

FYI, the family name -- YAMIN means "RIGHT" in Hebrew.

RIGHT ON.

You mention so many nice things about Elliot and he deserves them. But, I don't understand mispelling his name all the time. Doesn't he deserve better than that?

Interesting, and thanks for the information. Wether this is going on or not, and I have heard that both Taylor and Kat's fans are using this system, it matters not, for both belong in the final two. For that matter, imho, any of the final eight were qualified to win it all.

Kat has a good voice, and the looks that one would expect in an American Idol. Taylor has the sense of fun and enjoyment of life that is the American dream. Either person will make an excellent American Idol.

yes, soothing is what his voice is. I could not find the word I needed to describe it. He was wearing a Freeman tshirt in LA when he took the picture of Nicki Hilton. How cool is that for the kids at that school...wonder why he dropped out?
