DURHAM, N.C. - The attorney for one of two Duke lacrosse players charged with raping a stripper demanded on Monday that prosecutors turn over the accusers medical, legal and education records for use in attacking her credibility.
Kirk Osborn, who represents player Reade Seligmann, said the material will provide rich sources of information for impeaching the complaining witnesses.
Osborn also asked a judge to hold a pretrial hearing to determine if the complaining witness is even credible enough to provide reliable testimony.

I think our big thread is back:

Yeah it was a good thread with some funny back and forth. I read about the first 500 of 800 or so posts. And I click next page and it is gone. I guess the next 300 posts could have all been flames, but I doubt it.
I'm a little confused. I know that the police were asking "who" was at the party. But, I thought the players did not talk to the police? Did they just not answer the questions?
It's been cleaned up and put back up by the admin.

Thanks, now back to those last 300 posts.

I wouldn't assume that everyone in the dorm who police might have approached immediately cut off conversation with the detectives before the detectives had a chance to ask any questions.
Perhaps the lacrosse players listened to the questions, and then asserted their right not to answer without counsel.
Perhaps some of the players did engage in a conversation with the police.
Perhaps other students, not lacrosse players with lawyers, were asked by the police what they had heard about who was and who was not at the party.
somebody who knows how to ping everyone who was using the other thread ought to ping them all....I dunno how....
Nifong does not have a nurse saying there was a rape! Saying there were injuries consistent with a rape is not saying there was a rape, unless we have some special "rape-nurse" jargon here.
What was removed? Why did we get pulled in the first place? You can FReepmail me if you wish.
From a Duke alum who lives in NC.Story is it was the girls 3rd gig of the night. Not bad at $400 per show.2nd stop was at a black frat house where these girls hung out longer then they should have.It got pretty rough for the black girl & she was pis$ed,neither got any $.They got to the La X house very late & though pretty wasted, did there act.Heard it wasn`t one of their better shows.Well, my friend said take it from there.
I have no idea how credible this is..
Holwin is keeper of the Ping.
Actually I was talking only about the very recent visit police made to 2C Edens dormitory around the time the indictments were handed down. There is a third lacrosse player who has not been indicted but was identified with 90% certainty by the AV. It's been reported that the students in Edens dormitory think they know who this third person is. I'm thinking that the reason these students in Edens dormitory know this is because of the questions the police were asking on that recent visit, which reportedly had to do with whether certain players were or were not at the party.
I'd bet a hefty sum that the defense team knows where both strippers were in the hours before they arrived at the lax party, and that they have a reliable timeline.
I bet you're right! I bet the income of private detectives in the Durham area has risen significantly in the past month.
my apologies
The major problem I have with this account is that from everything we know, the girls were not together earlier in the evening.
Both the strippers and the boys are saying the same thing - that the two strippers arrived at different times.
The strippers worked for two different escort agencies, and it has been reported that they did not know each other before meeting at the lacrosse party.
The two strippers were apparently in very different condition. It is clear that Kim, while she may have had something to drink, was in complete control of herself and was not "pretty wasted." You can listen to the two 911 call tapes yourself and make your own judgment, but my take after listening to that is that Kim was not at all wasted. As to the AV, the boys' version is that she was drunk when she arrived, and this is supported by the photo of her dancing on one shoe without having been able to/or bothered to put on all of her fake fingernails.
Now the story in the NJ Star Ledger may well be accurate as to the AV only and not Kim, but the idea that both strippers were at these earlier parties together and were wasted is contrary to everything so far reported about the case.
no worries, lots of mini-conversations going on within these long threads
If he had it prior to the indictments, the defense attorneys should have been presented it when the DA turned over the evidence on which the indictments were based. This is B.S. in hopes it may help avoid a defeatr at the polls next Tuesday.
Plus it would be all over the news by now.
