Anybody can sue for anything.
But the attorneys on this thread have all said it was tough to get any thing. It is my hope and prayer that some cop has a tape of this DA saying he don't care if these subjects are innocent or not.
That would make who ever said that eligible for a prison term for a civil rights violation.
This case and the way it's been handled reminds me of the old snake charmer act.
While that was going, a pick pocket would be working the crowd.

Hint to DA, next time do not pick on rich white kids with cell phones, bank accounts and parents with deep pockets. Next time if you want to force a plea bargain, pick on some dumb white kids that have no money that you can intimidate.

It's going to have to be some cop who can really, really prove the DA JUST DID HIS OWN THING in disregard for the law.
Unfortunately, the DA probably only mouthed off in front of the "bad guys" or brown nosers in the department.
I had a friend who was offered the DA assistant job after college. He didn't take it because "You couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys".
