It's going to have to be some cop who can really, really prove the DA JUST DID HIS OWN THING in disregard for the law.
Unfortunately, the DA probably only mouthed off in front of the "bad guys" or brown nosers in the department.
I had a friend who was offered the DA assistant job after college. He didn't take it because "You couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys".
The vast majority of working deputy DA's I knew were honest hard working folks who believed in what they were doing.

As to who he made a statement to, I hope he's as unlucky as he is stupid.
