Molly, that is an excellent idea. We need to encourage people as well as demonstrating AGAINST things.

Although I would pay cash money to see about 50 Freepers accost Jimmy Carter dressed in bunny suits with FANGS.

Roomey just told me that madeline halfbright is probably bench pressing weight on rollers. He says he can do 350 pounds, gads, I thought bench pressing was striaght up pressing. There's always something new to learn. He said that she's probably talking about an angled leg press, where the platform stops at a certain place, without any worry of it falling on the participant and it's on rollers. It's still difficult to do, and it does exercise the legs. I'm learning, I'm learning. When I did leg presses the platform was directly over my thighs and I pressed directly upward. It was hard and heavy.

It was kind of mean of me, but I couldn't resist.

I read a book about Sarajeno called Pretty Birds and did those people hate the UN and Albright. LOL

I googled both Judge Andrew Napolitano and Gov. Janet Napolitano. He was born in 1950 and is a pro-life libitarian. She was born in 1957 and is a pro-choice dem. The surname may be her married name. No personal information was given for either of them. I would assume they are not related.

I really believe that it is time for the 'pubs' stop being Mr. Nice Guy, please tell me why the are always so nice to the dimwits and sadly to say, dims get more points than the pubs. They let lies, etc., get in on the floor, never saying a thing about it. It makes the pubs LOOK like little dumb ones all the time.

Every time I get tempted to fault the Republicans for doing what they do. I do what a Bush staffer told me to do. He said, "Try reading the election returns!"

The Democrats have been doing what they are doing ever since they lost the House. The Republicans have been turning the other cheek since they won the House. The Democrats have lost the House, the Democrats have lost the Senate. The Democrats have lost the Presidency. They are on the verge of losing the Judiciary. The Democrats have lost control of a majority of State Legislatures and Governorships. The Democrats have been losing on every level of government.

During that same time the Republicans have won the House and held it. They have won the Senate and Presidency. Republicans have won a majority of State Legislatures and Governorships.

The Bush staffer asked me, "Based upon the election returns, Ray, which party do you REALLY think is doing something wrong?"

Look at the recent house seat election from California. Duke Cunningham, the Republican who held the seat, is going to prison. It is a slightly Republican district... about 54 to 46. That is a very similar margin to most Republican seats in the House. The Republicans ran 13 candidates and the Democrats 2. And the lead Democrat according to the media was supposed to win well over 50 percent of the votes and therefore the seat. The Democrat won the same percentage as Kerry did in 2004... forty four percent.

By forcing a run off, it looks more and more likely that the Republicans will hold that seat. That says something to me. If the Democrats can't win THAT seat, what seats can they expect to take away from the Republicans?

That is the latest example.. in a long list of examples... that show that what the Democrats are doing is not working and what the Republicans are doing is working.

Having looked at recent voting patterns, I think the Democrats hope to get Republicans in a knock down drag out shouting match. When that happens the moderate voters say fie on both your houses. The election then comes down to which side has the most registered voters. When that happens in most battleground states, the Democrats win.

Look at the California situation in the Gray Davis run for re-election. The Republican Simon got into a shouting match with Democrat Davis. Every time Davis called Simon a so and so... Simon called Davis a so and so. Davis won the election. Republican Candidate Bill Simon was strongly urged by Karl Rove to turn the other cheek. Simon refused. Had Simon turned the other cheek, he would very likely be Governor of California today. Instead he emulated the nasty Davis attack and lost.

Elections are very often popularity contests. Being a nasty, name calling, son of a gun is not the way to win a popularity contest. It is a desperation strategy by a loser, hoping to draw his opponent into a name calling contest that only the Democrat can win.

When we get our dander up, it may help to take a look at the election returns. It is hard argue with the election results.

Oh, CT, you sound like Roomey. Whenever I ask why the Repubs don't retaliate, Roomey always says, "Wait, nastiness does not win anything". Hopefully, turning the other cheek, helps the Republicans win the House, Senate and the Whitehouse, again. I'd sure hate to see the likes of ole broadbeam and her sometimes husband move into the White House, plus Pelosi heading up the House and Reid the Senate.

Hi all: Well, Miss Lily was up bright and early. She is eating a little but not enough to sustain life (in my opinion) However, she is drinking milk and lots of coffee laced with sugar and cream. She told me today that she wasn't ready to "leave" just yet.

I told her she needed to eat then.....So, very grudgingly she ate one bite of meat, but did eat all of her mashed potatoes and gravy.

When I left today, she was back in bed for her afternoon nap. She really hates to stay in bed and puts up a fight when her nurses even suggest she needs to lay down. We made it through another day and we will see what tomorrow brings. Again, thank you all for your prayers.....

I came home at 2:00 p.m. and started my yard work. I couldn't get my mower started! I was using my weed eater and trying to figure out what to do to get the dang mower going when I remembered what Larry would have done. He would have pulled the spark plug and cleaned it with the electric wire brush....so, that's what I did and SCHAZZAM! it started. Four hours later I am upstairs writing to you all and about to get into the shower. All I did today was mow - no hedge trimming or brush cutting - it really seems like things are budding out slower this year. I am getting a brief reprieve :-)

Scott Crossfield has passed.

He was a childhood hero.

God bless them men that fly and fight. Especially the crazy ones that push the envelope.

How encouraging that Miss Lily is eating a little bit and drinking more.

And how wonderful that Larry helped you through another situation.

You are one spunkly lady and have my admiration and my love. (((((Bev)))))

Definition of spunkly -- a combination of spunky and lovely.

(Did I cover for my typo adequately and create a new ... and very appropriate ... word in the process?)
