Read on the Tony Snow thread that he will make a decision this week-end and we will know by Monday.

Good afternoon everyone.

The black flies aren't as bad as the other day, but just in case we put bird netting over the pond so the Koi can't jump out of the pond.

Today I also repaired my deer scarer .
Last year the thing split in half and pieces fell of the main piece. It's fixed and is spitting water in my half barrel by the front door.

I'm happy.

I was going to go to our local co-op to purchase seed potatoes and corn, but since Sarah doesn't have to work I thought ..why waste the gas. I'll do it tomorrow.

So you're getting our population, dittomom??! WEEELL!!:-)

Can't stay long, but wanted to make this Action Report...

Long night of rehearsal ahead...husband won't be home for supper, so I decided Panera's was the way to go for a late lunch /early supper.

I spotted an old van parked in front of the restaurant...plasterd with conservative stickers, including a 2nd Amendment bumper sticker...

So I walked in, alert & determined to spot this fellow member of the Vast Right Wing...

Placed my order, and just as I was turning around to once again check out the van...someone was getting into it!!

I told the cashier..."Be right back", and rushed out....It could have been anybody getting into that van, and I would have said something, but wouldn't you know: it was 2 older gals!!! HA!!

It was perfect! I gently tapped on the window, said "Excuse me, but I just have to say how much I love all your stickers!" as the driver rolled down her window.

They laughed and said no one had ever said anything to them before, and thanked me.LOL! That was fun!

then I went back inside and had lunch...:-)

BTW, it may have the first time somebody has said that to those 2 women, but it's NOT the first time I've accosted strangers with my appreciation....

Feisty woman. LOL

Good for you. I'm sure you made their day and they made yours.

Yes, I think it was mutual...

We often think of "FReeping" in a kind of oppositional way, but we can also be positive and reinforcing.

I've never been sorry making this kind of gesture...never rebuffed or hurt.

...they definitely looked like ladies I'd enjoy having lunch with!

There have been numerous mentions on various threads of the bad things that have happened on April 19th(Waco, OKC Bombing) and 20th(Columbine, Hitler's B-Day) over the years, but this one was overlooked. It's up to us to remind everybody of this tragic event. LOL!

hello

I had my nap. So, I will plan on driving into DM tonite and flying out early in the morning. I was really fearful of a 2 hr drive being absolutely dead tired.

If I leave here at 7:00 tonite, I'll be at my destination around 9:00, and hopefully, ready to sleep again.

#3 Son's gf's Grandmother has passed. He asked me to get his clothes ready for the funeral & visitation. So I have shirts to iron. I'd better get to that before I go back out to finish moving a few things around.

Madeline Albrigh can bench press 400 lbs. But the question is, does she? She doesn't look like she lifts anything heavier than a fork. LOL

I do stuff like you do, speaking to complete strangers about, whatever. When the boys were young, Boy 2 thought I knew everyone in our town and Waco. He was really impressed, but he's grown now and thinks I'm just fearless.

Someone's going to have to check out her legs. 400 pounds is a lot of weight, and bench pressing is DEAD weight.

No, they don't grow wild here Granny, they do in WA state and SE Alaska. I don't know if they can stand the heat down here, even in the shade, but I'm going to try. I've seen them, in years past, at Lowes.
