This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I just couldn't do that to Rocky, but you were pretty young then weren't you, when you had him? I can see a young girl doing that:) The pink looks very nice on the gray tho:)
When I saw all the pink at the barrel race I mentioned to Jenny that Harley would look good in pink, but I just couldn't do that:)

I was in high school, and it was the mid 80s: Miami Vice, guys in Pink t-shirts.... that's my only excuse.
I think it looks good there, with the ivy ;~D I want to find a little mossy flowering thing to plant in it.
I was thinking some creeping phlox would look good in it. That stuff will grow over the edge and hang down, and you could plant a little dab under where it hangs like it dripped out.
I saw someone do that one time in a bucket. The bucket was laying on it's side at the edge of a ledge and there was some at the bottom of the ledge. Made it look like it had spilled out.
the only problem with phlox is it only blooms in the spring and then for a very short time:(, but it is beautiful stuff.

Medicine hats often look a little freaky... like a guy in a funny hat. But Paint people are crazy about them... or anything unusual.
I'll look for it... I was thinking of something like that.
What about some of your lobelia???

Could be, but I think the dark blue would disappear there in the shade... I was thinking white. What's the white or lavender thing that trails along and looks a lot like lobelia?

The phlox wouldn't work in the shade, I didn't think of that.

How could we explain stuff like this to people who have never seen photoshop?
