I believe in animal rescue. I prefer to look for any pets I want through this means. So many animals are in non profit rescues today. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, snakes and even farm animals find their way into a reacue by means of abandonment and seizure. Take a look at petfinder.com or your local shelter.
