STEELERS WIN SUPERBOWL X-TRA LARGE DETROIT - Mick Jagger moved up and down the field at halftime more easily than the Pittsburgh offense did for most of the game. In the end, though, Jerome Bettis, the Steelers and their thousands of rowdy fans wound up the big winners on Super Bowl Sunday. Save for a few big plays that changed the game, style points were hard to come by on America's annual football holiday. But to Pittsburgh, the 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks was beautiful _ a gritty grind of a game that included just enough flair to transform a blue-collar team playing in a blue-collar city into champions.
In a stadium brimming with thousands of Pittsburgh fans waving Terrible Towels, the Steelers finally captured their fifth title, that "One for the Thumb" they've been chasing since 1980.
"It's almost unreal right now," coach Bill Cowher said.

you posted to the wrong person. yea your right, I have only been a football fan for over 25 years, I dont know anything about it.
Right...
Horrible officiating.
The Seahawks were the victims of crucial questionable calls.
By my count, they lost 2 TDs.
LOL, don't you know they were all attached to the wires on the roof with Cheney and Rove in control ? They just had them all pumped up on military stims for the 20 min they had to get out of the wheelchairs.
Is that where the reciever caught the ball with his left in bound but he stepped out of bounds with his right? That was a correct call.
No, that was where the refs called holding that wasn't.
Yea man that was a let down. Soul's allright, but man. There was just no STRENGTH in that performance. It was just... flat. Soft. Too soft.
They made it a tribute to the victims of hurricane Katrina with Aaron Neville and Aretha "Refrigerator" Franklin humming, moaning and mouthing the words to what appeared to be the Star Spangled Banner. Nothing recognizable. Pretty pitiful.
Wah.
But...but...I thought the Seahawks OWN the "12th man"...oh, that's right, they STOLE it from the University of Texas...and are being sued to return what is not theirs according to trademark registration.
Old story for liberals...thinking they should be able to take whatever they want and crying unfairness when they don't get it. You're in good company.
Yea, Ben Roethlisbergers 22.22 QB rating was AWESOME! give Seattle the 14 points they should have had and take away the 7 that the refs gave pit and then tell we what the score should be
Congratulations to the Men of Steel! I'm happy for Cowher, who seesm to be a class act, and I would say the same of Bettis.
I can't stand Aaron Neville. Can't he ever sing a song straight without warbling up and down almost continuously. He almost sounds like he's yodeling.
And what's with that big ugly mole on his eyebrow? With his money, you'd think he could afford a little plastic surgery.
Areatha used to be great. Can't she afford a gastric bypass? "Refrigerator" is right. Maybe with a washer and dryer thrown in too.
ditto
Mick must have required two remotes ;)
Congrats, Steeler fans - your boys outplayed the Seahawks.
Holgren's incredibly poor clock management comes back to haunt him again. Seahawk fans who want a scapegoat should look at him before whinging about the officials.
You guys enjoy this moment. You deserve it.
I know Seattle got robbed.
Pittsburg is in Kansas, and is far too small a town to have a pro team of any sort.
PITTSBURGH,however, although they played poorly, managed, as you attest, to show that even on their worst day they can beat the best the NFC has to offer.
Not to mention showing their coach to be far less than the tactical genius many would have us believe him to be...talk about choking at the end of the halves.
Maybe his team won't be so much like little boys hanging on every word of their hero anymore.
