Has '24' Gone Bush-Bashing? (**Spoiler Vanity**)
Posted on 01/30/2006 9:06:33 PM PST by Lunatic Fringe
So it seems that the plotline for this season's '24' is that a dark, shadowy conspiracy of white American puppetmasters is exploiting the threat of terrorism in order to 'secure the flow of oil for the next generation,' manipulating a weak, dim-witted President to achieve their diabolical goals of world domination and economical power.

No, THIS is what happens when YOU turn off the TV... I've already tried telling him that... I guess being on the computer is OK, but watching TV isn't. Go figure.

WHERE THE H*LL was Chloe tonight? One lousy short scene at the workstation, sheesh!
YAAHHHH!!!!! I was thinking the same thing!

I don't see the problem: Cummings collabarated and 'got in bed with terrorists' and they took advantage of him. If this is news to you, watch Season 2, almost the same thing occured there too, except it was NSA chief 'Roger Stanton' instead of Chief of Staff 'Walt Cummings...

She buggs. Chloe pouts all the time and always complains.

Maybe I should have stuck with the cautionary tale about that Korean (?) who died after nonstop computer use.

So Jack told the President he would go back into hiding after this crisis again. That ain't good!
Sutherland is signed through only next season I think.
The way I see it, Chinese find out about Bauer, and next season Bauer dies when forced to commit suicide in front of her and the Chinese in exchange for his daughter being allowed to live.
I think that will be it, next season.

They can't get rid of Jack. That would be the end the show. Kinda like watching Scooby Doo, without Scooby!!

You got my point.
Next year is the last year Sutherland is signed for.
This year his daughter and the Chinese will find out he is alive.
At some point (next year), the Chinese find out Jack is alive, kidnap the daughter toward the end of season 6 and then the last scenes will be him having to shoot himself in the head in front of the Chinese in order to let his daughter in the show go free.
That will be the end of the show.
That seems to be where the show is going at this point. If Jack goes into hiding, next season his daughter is in jeopardy.

Sounds rational to me. If the Chinese find out Jack's alive, then all hell will break loose - and the angle with his daughter sounds plausible to me. You don't think they'll sign him on for a few more seasons?

Why would Jack go back to Audrey, when he's got the beautiful Diane! And Chloe? She's too frumpy.
Diane? Oh yeah, tall, beautiful, smart, and a redhead! WOW!

Chloe is more annoying than Kim was... I'm glad Kim hasn't been around- give that girl five choices, and she will always pick the worst one.

This episode was more of an indictment on the
Operation Northwoods project than anything the current Admin. has done.

No way. No Jack. No show. 24 is a cash cow for Fox. I read that they are thinking about a 24 movie. The first writer that drafts a script killing Jack will probably be escorted to the CTU infirmary for a psych evaluation - and we all know what the life expectancy of a patient there is.

Much as I got a chill down my spine when the plot sickened, I'm not turning off the show until the homosexuals infiltrate it.

After last night, he seemed more like Clintoon than Nixon. Crazy wife, more worried about his legacy than doing the right thing, people around him that are more interested in their own self-aggrandisement than living up to their oath and protecting the Constitution.
All we need now is the intern keeping Logan "happy"!

Maybe you as a "24" expert can help me - a "24" newbie. Who is Nathanson, the bald guy with the telephone who seems to be directing the whole conspiracy? No mention of him on the "official" websites, which is strange as he seems to be a key character.
