for Tammy
Looks like I'm the only one left. I just finished watching my tape so I figured I'd post my "list" before I go to bed.
1) Taylor (Gray Charles) - best tonight.
2) Elliott (Mr. Tumnus) - nice vocal.
3) Chris (just Chris) - I like Chris, but he was boring tonight. I still put him at 3.
4) Bucky - Good song choice tonight.
5) Kevin (pee wee) - boring song but sang it pretty good and has the old lady and teeny bopper vote.
6) Gideon (Dr. Teeth) - I must be the only one, but I just don't like this guy. He sang OK, but he's like a bad cruise ship singer as Simon would say.
7) Will (Bobby Brady/Wonder Years) - Boring, boring, boring!
8) Ace (G'Ace, Brokeback Ace) - I know the Judges liked it, but he was horrible. Only Paula's "guy friends" will vote for him.
That all said, I think Bobby Brady goes tonight. I'm not sure who else between G'Ace, Dr. Teeth, Pee Wee or Bucky, but it really doesn't matter because they're not in the same league as Taylor, Elliott and Chris.
Chicken Little and Bucky need to go. Then Wonder Years Boy, Then Ace. IMO
Great stuff -
I think Chicken Little will hang around a while.
I despise Ace and Teeth!
Bucky is kinda interesting -- he seems pretty natural. Funny, his bad teeth actually are part of his sound (like Tom Petty's are).
see post 9920
LOL!!!!!!!!!
You pretty much nailed it! I vote from now on we call Bucky "Tom Petty." :)
Yeah, she's a little masculine. No, she's like a man, with long hair. Ick.
I'm pretty amazed everone thinking Starry Starry Night is a boring song...one of the most beautiful modern ballads written...Don McLean. I liked his arrangement of it, but it's hard to watch him.
Ace was fantastic...I think all you guys are intimidated befause he is so fabulous looking. He's talented...it's incredibly hard to sing like he did tonight and he did a great job. To me, he's shown the most versatility. You're all showing your age with Taylor...HE'S TOO OLD TO BE THE AMERICAN IDOL. GO ACE GO ACE GO ACE!!!! also Chris and Elliott. But I have to say Thank God this year there are some great male singers. IMO, the first year of the great male singers.
With age comes wisdom, judgement, taste... ;^)
Taylor is an adequate imitation of a blues singer. He's a one trick pony. He's just ok...to quote the Dawg Randy.
I thought Taylor stole the show tonight. He exudes such joy when he is singing. He makes everybody feel good.
Ace annoyed me with that falsetto. A very pretty white boy trying to sing black. I hated that Michael Jackson song. All I could think of was Jackson singing it to little boys (his victims)..."You give me butterflies." UGH!
I was disappointed with Elliott tonight. I hope he picks something more upbeat next week.
Gedeon is very young...I think his voice will mature beautifully.
Chris is consistently good.
Bucky belongs on Country Idol (or whatever it's called). He doesn't articulate. Bet he can't spell it either.
Bottom two--the Irish tenor,Covais, maybe he can get a gig on PBS. And Will...cute but not exceptional in any way.
ROFLMAO!! Ace tried to sound black...AND TAYLOR DOESN'T??? GIVE ME A BREAK. American Idol is more than just singing, you know that. Taylor will have a career, he just won't be the American Idol. And he will probably be thankful. It's between Chris or Elliot or Ace. As of tonight, my money's with Ace or Chris.
a'ight.
Taylor just tries to sound like Taylor. He is unique.
No he's not...he's not unique...he sounded just like Michael MacDonald tonight. I'm not saying he's not entertaining, he's just not going to be the next American Idol.
Hey, Hildy! I might not agree with you on *some* things, but I sure do tonight!
