AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1789) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 14, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/14/2005 6:13:29 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Iraq is said to be calm during elections, at least that is what is being carried on Drudge at this hour.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Iran, pronouncements by the President of that country have stirred strongly negative reactions in Europe, and certainly in Israel--the target of the commentary about being wiped off the Earth. Germany has recalled her diplomat, while President Bush has called the Islamic republic a "real threat". The Iranian President has also stated the Holocaust is nothing but a myth, and that Israel should be moved as far away as Alaska.

The contract between the MTA and the transit workers in the New York metropolitan area expires Friday, and workers are set to go on strike. New York mayor Bloomberg says such a strike would be "devastating."

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I am too tired and achy that I can't go to sleep. The college kids have gone home and so there are fewer volunteers at the stable. There was also an interruption in the routine and the barn was a mess when the youngest and I got there. So, we knuckled down and got things organized. But the horses did notget groomed today. Sometimes you have to let that go.

These horses are truly pampered. They're brought in out of the rain. They've been wearing blankets ever since the temps entered the low 50s or 40s. They're petted and cosseted. They also are 12 of the sweetest animals I've every worked with (not including my dogs, of course). When I enter a pasture, I am usually greeted by about 3 of them trotting up to me and following me back to the gate. They act a lot like the white mares in Ben Hur. I am experiencing horses now like I wanted to when I was a teen.

he asks all veterans and parents/spouses/siblings of active duty military to stand up and be honored.

I know Christmas is going to be hard. I'm sorry. I'm including that aspect in my prayers.

Now, tell me. How can you stand up and play at the same time? I always had trouble with that.

lol

He has the veterans/family members stand up to (tumultous) applause.

Then we all sit down and then we do the song.

Guess I wasn't too clear.:)

Advil? Hot bath? Heating pad?

Yup, 12. That's why we feel the absense of our volunteers.

I haven't been invited to ride any of 'em. But that's okay. I would love to, but I don't know how and these horses are well trained in show and dressage.

LOL! Oh. That's how you do it. I know some performers can do it, but perhaps they skip the pedalling. I don't know. I just know that I had to sit.

I'm just know unwinding to the point of a bath. But I hadn't thought about the advil. Good idea.

Hi, Jem.. I was in bed when you wrote..mental state not yet assessed!

thanks for asking! Have had a lot of visitors, visiting O... even a few patrol cars from the police. He was very well known/liked. Looks like "services" are Sunday PM.. Grave digging still remains difficult.

Very cold here, as should be expected this time of year. Tuba Christmas is this Sunday here.. If you/anyone gets a chance to see it at a "big" performance, it is really nice.

Rav, if you are still with your mom (if I think I know where you are) you are only 2 hours away. It is worth the trip.

Molly it is at the civic at 4:30 & 6 at the Civic.. Tucker Jolly again directing (your prolly know that ) but anyone within a couple hours of Akron should make an effort to attend
I have pinged you if you are in the category distance wise.

I was planning on going but will just have to see how I feel. Not feeling particularly celebratory or festive right now

Tuba Christmas at Akron Civic Theatre

Sunday, December 18, 4 pm & 6:30 pm
Free admission
Contact: Tucker Jolly, (330)972-6641, trjolly@uakron.edu
Civic Theatre, (330)535-3179, www.akroncivic.com

A merry sing-along concert with 500 melodious tubas, conducted by founder Tucker Jolly, set in a breath-taking historical theatre bedecked with twinkling lights, tinsel and garlands. Now in its 26th year, Tuba Christmas is an Akron tradition and holiday gift to the community from The University of Akron's School of Music and Akron Civic Theatre.

we have nothing new yet Molly? wonder if it is still "on the way".. from the weather last night it sounded like it would hit us in wee hours.

Toby again stopped, cried & wanted to get in van. He smelled, licked & nudged O to get up. then cuddled next to him.

Prolly wont be back today..hope you all have a good day. I know it is a busy time of year for most of you.

Yep. I am hoping I can get her to take a nap today. She is at that stage where she sometimes naps, and sometimes doesn't. LOL!

I went to bed at nine last night which is way early for me. I should have known better. If I don't get a nap today, I will be going to bed early tonight, and I will keep getting up at 3, which is too early. WAY too early.

There is nothing to do at 3AM. I can't work around the house or I will wake up hubby. So, I get on the computer and waste time.
