I thought this would be an interesting thread, finding out the first car freepers ever had.
If you have a picture of it post it as well!
The car is still running today... my nephew is driving it now.
1965 Austin Healey convertible, British racing green.
That's one of the cars always on display at the Classic Car Shows!
I drove one of those! That automatic on the dash was quite the "bomb".
The first car I owned was a 1972 Puke Green Plymouth Duster. 225 Slant-6 that ran like a son-of-a-gun, considering its size.
I got my license in my parent's 1971 Buick Centurion Cabin Cruiser, the day after a 3" snowfall. My dad figured if I could pass my license in conditions like that (even managed to parallel park the thing), I could drive anything in any weather.
'56 Ford Country Squire - 9 passenger (the formerly family ride)
Screamin' Demon!
ping for later
I had a pretty much identical '64.
Drove it cross country with the back seat removed and a rack on top..... stuffed to capacity. Wifey and took all our posessions and the VW to the Philippines where it was worth its weight in gold.
1972 Olds Cutlass.
Unless you still have it!
1962 Dodge Lancer...think the '62-63 Valiant and you'll have the idea. They changed it to the Dart the next year, I believe.
At 16 my first car was a black Mustang ..
**sigh .... good times good times**
'64 Chevy Impala.
Primer and torquoise.
Slip'n'slide Powerglide
Ahhhh the TR4
Mine was black with red leather interior. I had to sell it when I got transferred overseas.
Cool! where is it??
'65 Ford Falcon, extra chrome, bucket seats, air conditioner (which may have been after market), baby blue. Ran like a top - no idea where my Dad found it. Wish I had kept it - it was clean as a whistle.
That's a good lookin classic car!
Got rid of it at 18....moved on to something different
still smile when I think of it ;)
'67 Mustang Convertible here. 289 with a 3-Speed. I'm going for a '66 convertible after the next few years when the kids have left the house and I can revert back to my teenage years. Oooooh, it's gonna be GREAT!
