Yeah! Made it to the weekend and it's hunting season. Since Turkey Day is just a few days away that means my two favorite football games are up. UT vs. TAMU and the Cowboy's Thanksgiving Debacle. But looming on the horizon is the dreaded Christmas gift-shopping. Maybe this year I'll get it done well before we head off to the folks place....nah, who am I kidding.

re: smoking a turkey
Is it possible to do without a smoker? (although my husband smokes....) but you know what I mean.

Yup. Being a Texan I would never do this but you can put wood chips in with whatever you're baking/roasting. I'm not sure on the specifics, I just saw people do it on Food Network.
That being said, not everyone likes the smoke flavor. Maybe do a cajun fried turkey and a traditional oven roast. That's what we're doing. Even down here it'll be a tad too cold to be outside maintaining the coals for smoking.

Well, the fags hijacked the rainbow symbol, but I will still point one out to my kids when I see on in the sky.
I hate teachers unions as much as the next just about anyone, but I never saw that as teachers union propoganda.

The tennessee teachers union uses the Pi symbol as an arch in their logo.
I thought the symbol inscribed in an apple was another of the NEA symbols.
I guess it was not.
