I'm woefully ignorant about most of Country Music, so thank you for the background info on Trace Adkins. I had no idea he was such a staunch Conservative--good for him!

And thank you for posting the lyrics to "Arlington". Wolfstar brought my attention to the song a few months ago. A very powerful song.

I'll take Roy Clark--he's fun and has a good sense of humor. But I need Zoloft to listen to Patsy Cline--sheesh.

I remember the first time I heard Whiskey Lullabye. I was stunned. It was haunting, sad, insightful, and had that wonderful turn of phrase in it. Then the voices singing the song was absolutely icing on the cake.

I am sure you enjoyed even a short version of "Jesus take the wheel". ;)

Good morning!

I enjoyed the show last night. Some parts were very cheesy (the Dolly & Elton duet, Bloomberg), but the true talent saved the night. I was exposed to a lot of good songs and good singers that are new to me.

I am sure you enjoyed even a short version of "Jesus take the wheel". ;)

I thought it was short :) But I did like it. Carrie looked and sounded great :)

I really enjoyed the show last night - especially when my "boyfriend" Keith Urban won Entertainer of the Year. For all you old rockers out there, give him a listen if you haven't yet. He's had some vocal problems lately from constantly touring and straining his voice - but he's a killer guitar player. Even my hubby enjoys his talent. Oh yeah and ladies he's not too hard on the eyes either!

What's with the CMA awards banquet being held in New York? For the life of me, I don't understand why they insisted on holding the event in a metro area with something like a half-dozen Spanish radio stations and ZERO country stations.
