Putting two very aggressive females in close proximity to one another is not recommended. We can be nearby to one another, but not close. We need breathing room.

So the evening proceeded, with wine and convivial conversations late into the night. As people drifted away the illumination automatically reduced itself as a way of letting the last ones know how late it was getting.

Trevor and Mimie had long since departed. When Sandra and Kayla took their leave, Berry offered to show Adam where his quarters were.

“Lead on, then, sir. I am sure that I am ready to fall down. And I am sure that the seductive vampires of the night will be ready and waiting for me.” Adam had been enjoying the wine. He was not so inebriated, however, that he did not recognize the splendor of his assigned lodgings. A grand bed on a raised platform greeted him just beyond a splashing fountain.

In alcoves around the room were additional beds for his many attendants. A buffet area was kept stocked with fresh drinks and snacks, and led to a separate dining area beyond.

There was an entrance in the corner of the room to an opulent bathing area, and large closets. Not noticed, but available were several communication stations and other amenities.

After he finished staring, Adam turned to Berry and said, “I think I can be comfortable here.”

“Good Night, Adam.” Berry said, as two young ladies came to help Adam to bed.

In my lexicon, "grown" often means psychologically, while changed means physically.

For the character in question, the psychological change comes gradually, which then leads to a physical change.
