But good for intergalactic diplomacy - think about it.

While you may have a point in that the Neptunians have been building an arsenal for the last 436 years--and they need to be stopped, our exploits on Mars could serve as another "blooming in the desert."

Think of it: Wal-Mars.

"Mars would make a great test site for nukes!!"

That's like breaking a window in a house. Sheer vandalism. We have plans for Mars.

Pluto, maybe. Venus, no harm done. But Mars? That could be Mankind's first "second home." Haven't you read my plans?

We'll save the nukes for constructive destruction, thanks.

Wal-Mars, hmmm....

It will be like the Earth model: low cost items imported from hostile regimes. In this case, Neptune.

It's good to know that you haven't lost your enthusiasm and passion for "sweet" things...;o]

Your enthusiasm seems good today!!

Damn the Neptunian Socialist Republic!!

Ever since the election of Tim Qong Teel 437 years ago, Neptune has never been the same. What they do offer is poorly made clothing in mass quantities at a third of cost to wholesalers.

And hundreds of time the gravity!! How do transport it so cheap, when they require a high escape velocity?

This is where the Earthlings (read: quislings) come in: They have supplied the Nepcoms--Neptunian Communists--with the technology to transport all that they desire despite the planet's gravitational handicap.

Big Space, my friend: Big Space.

I'm not sure if you are allowed in the parlor yet, but you're welcome to join me at the tax table. You might get extremely bored and drowsy, but it's rated G. Some days, it may become PG, but it's G for the most part.

They don't have a fear of using muclear power.

They lift the shuttles to the top of the atmosphere using hot hydrogen balloons, and then launch from there.

The escape velocity is only 24.6 kms, just over twice that of Earth, at 11.18 kms. Considering that Neptune is four times Earth's size, that's not a bad deal.

I will likely have to work tomorrow, so this will probably be my last post for the evening.

Good Night, and "Keep Watching The Skies!"
