I miss snow. I hope the snow that my parents have doesn't melt before I visit.

I have posted something twice before, too. So now if I click, I wait. And then if nothing seems to happen, I check my comments page to make sure it doesn't go through before I click again.

NIMH -- Nat'l Institute of Mental Health
NiMH -- Nickel Metal Hydride
NiMH batteries are rechargeable and used in digital cameras to provide the substantial current required for a) the flash, b) the CCD which captures the image and, c) the transfer of the image to the memory card. Because of the need for b and c (in particular) to happen as rapidly as possible, power demands far outstrip the capabilities of standard alkaline batteries. Panasonic is just one company selling both AA and AAA cells capable of delivering 2100mAH of current at 1.5V. Impressive for such a diminutive package.

fanfan eats bugs? times are getting tough all over. it's one thing to eat bits and pieces of bugs because they're in your Cheerios in perfectly legal amounts, and quite another to go out and deliberately eat a real live dead bug (we ARE discussing dead bugs aren't we?).
