We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Quick start--network hosed here so I'm doing wireless.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Close. But No Cigar!
Sorry to say you are not even close to being right, Granny. You missed one big important factor, that even dumb hillbillies like me remember, I took a civics class as a sophomore in high school way back in 1952. It was Mr. Wilson who stood right up there in front of GOD and every body and told our class that:
The rules and laws that apply to State Governments and the Rules and laws that apply to the Federal Government are not the same!
Mr Wilson done said it.. and danged if I didn't learn it.
Mason's Manual is an authority recognized by many state legislatures. It does not apply to the Senate of the United States as anyone who has read the Constitution of the United States of America or attended Mr. Wilson's class can readily state.
Quoting Mason's Manual Of Legislative Procedure to the presiding officer of the Senate is just as relevant as quoting a Betty Crocker's Cook Book. Both discuss things that the Presiding officer of the Senate would find to be half baked and in some cases severely pickled.. did I mention stewed?
The only documents that apply to the operation of the United States Senate are the Constitution of the United States of America and the Rules authorized by said Constitution and thereby properly adopted and revised by the Senate of the United States.
You are trying to apply rules and laws adopted by individual states to the federal government. And that is just not the way it works.
The fact that your state may have adopted Mason's Manual as its authority on legislative rules has nothing to do with the federal government and never has. It could not without adding an amendment to the Federal Constitution.
???????
I thought it was the drunk bodyguard behind the wheel, and the fact that she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Who do you think is responsible for her death??
He is right now on his way to Walmart.:)
On Monday, he & Katie drove up to Michigan for fresh pasties (pies filled with meat, potatoes, rutabagas, etc.) Monday night was the party here. Yesterday they drove down to Madison.........that's where he was going to school and where he will continue his schooling post-deployment, and Katie is thinking of transferring there also. Last night he hung out with the guys. I don't know what his plans are for tonight.
He rented a car Sunday night and has already put on nearly 600 miles.:)
I'm glad our weather is so beautiful this week.....sunny, cool, clear blue skies........and that a lot of the trees still have leaves, in various shades of orange, yellow & red. He'll have beautiful memories of Wisconsin to take with him.:)
I suspect it was a setup. Diana was alive when the rescuers arrived at the scene. Most people, when taken alive like that to a good hospital, can make it. I know the official story, but like any good conspiracy theorist, I don't believe it. Just call me sceptical.
Trent just doesn't know when to shut up.

There you go being condensending again. It's such a lovable part of your personality.
I'm off to my meeting. I'll be back tonite.
What an exciting life you live Toby. It will be so much fun putting your "Shack in the Back" together. What color appliance will you get, what color for the floor, what color for the ceiling and the questions go on.
WELL, it 'bout time you got back here. Missed you. Too many of us shoot from the hip, before engaging mind, 'specially the "boo-birds", of which I am, sometimes.
I understsand what you say and I agree with you. But they teach it at every business School .... including Harvard. NEVER REMOVE A PERSON FROM POWER and let him remain in the organization.
There were times that I had to remove station managers. I never demoted them. I fired them. For if they had remained on the staff they would have done all they could to see that their successor failed. I could not afford that.
It is just a way too costly a thing to do. Bush knows the consequences of demotion. I think he just misjudged Trent's Southern Gentleman like appearance as weakness and his praise of his mentor as stupidity.
Neither are true.
There are many 'tators in Mississippi. They are far more mannerly and far more soft spoken than their obnoxious Ohio cousin. But there are a significant number of them I would not cross... not while waking up breathing is a lifelong requirement.
You sound like the hostess on "Get Color"!!! I love tht show. Some people pick colors that I would never be courageous enought to put on my walls! But it's fun to watch someone else do it!
That is not Lott's goal Lotts goal is to do to George Bush what George Bush did to him. That is why I was so upset when Bush had him fired.
It is such a masculine thing. You took me down!!!.. Now it is my turn to take you down!!!
I am not defending Trent. I never have. I just can't support the President doing things that over time will prove counter productive. I suspect that Bush was following Rove's asssesment of Trent when he had him replaced by Frist.
If that be the case then what Trent said today was perfectly predictable before Trent was removed. It is just more payback.
But I too have done many dumb things in anger. That is why I try so hard to never act or re-act until I have had time to cool down. But fairly often I fail to take my own advice. It has cost me dearly.
The Washington Times' website is down, but Drudge has a headline linking to their site about a black Republican being pelted with Oreo cookies by black Dems...
Anyone know anything about this?
Re: "Good hospital"......this was France, you know.
Disgusting.
Hmmm. Maybe Bush could appoint Lott to an ambassadorship or something. Send him to France (he couldn't make things worse) and then Haley Barbour could appoint someone to the senatoe seat.
I love color. Roomey says if he stands too long in one place I'd paint him too.
Usually, when we buy tickets it's for musical concerts. Dec. 2, we will see Glenn Beck's Christmas Show in Syracuse. It's the first time we bought tickets that were not for our musical enjoyment, but comical/satirical enjoyment.
Thanks for the Ev report!
Sounds as though he's really enjoying himself.
Good for him!
