Newspaper readership is down the lowest it's been in years; there is a reason for this and yet the press doesn't "get it". If they'd only report the news, and quit editorializing and let people make up their own minds, they might see a rise in sales.
Of course, lots of us prefer the interactiveness of reading/commenting on the news with forums like FR.
Reid is energizing his far left base with his little stunt the other day. Either fund raising is lagging or this is a shot across the bow for other reasons.
It was wonderful to get together with an old friend. He's dealing with Hepatitis, but has been courageous through the treatments.
He keeps himself very fit, and watches his diet carefully. A better friend I could not have.
I agree with Rush. Instead of Frist crying about what Reid did, we should hit them with a broadside barrage and start indictment proceedings on Joe Wilson.
I heard yesterday that one of the giants...Knight-Ridder...is up for sale. Readership and revenues are down. The MSM are blind and stuck on stupid not to realize what their liberal/biased coverage hath wrought.

I keep waiting for the left to set a trap for the bloggers....
Everyone have a great day!
There was an article on FR about the FEC and how they might handle bloggers; we're a threat, apparently. Action against blogs isn't REALLY expected to happen, but the threat remains.
Exactly right. There are better ways to combat the lies on the left than what we're doing, or not doing, now.
We see the end result of these lies. Support for the war and our soldiers is very low and getting worse. The lies resonate with people too busy to do the research themselves. They hear the MSM reports and some people want to believe it and some people just don't get their news anywhere else and so they don't know the true story.
Good Morning. I hate to wake up so late that when I read the overnight posts I can't remember everyone who's done and early morning post and I can't address my initial morning post to the individuals already up and posting.
I have an appt with a friend who is a decorator this morning to attempt to select upholstry fabric for a couple of wing chairs and a loveseat. Once the fabric is selected I'll call the painter and the try to get him in here before Christmas.
Prayers for all who need them.
Good luck looking at fabrics; the selections are sometimes overwhelming.
Just had to turn Rangel off; FNC is interviewing him and he's wondering how old the vice president REALLY is. Nonsense and too early for such an ugly personality.
In 5 days, our granddaughter will be 11 months!...and she's adorable!
Mark steyn will be on Bennett's show this a.m.
Bennett is describing the treatment Michael Steele is getting in Maryland: having Oreos thrown at him....epithets thrown around: Uncle Tom, etc...Disgusting!
Kay, enjoy your weekend, and.....relax! You definitely need that...((((Kay))))
I don't know why, but every time I see Rangel on TV, I think about my maternal Grandmother and the way she wrung chicken necks when she was dressing chickens.
I have this strong urge to do that to Rangel.
That's a direct quote from Bennett's radio associate - Seth? - this a.m. and it's a good one!
I've been thinking for awhile that the whole affair reminded me of some scam, and I figured it out finally: the old Murphy set-up!
Dog,Thanks for the Ohio material: hysterical, and so true!!
Your weekend with the gc will be your reward for dealing with the hustle and bustle of the past week.
I hope the weather is good for the soccer match.
I just heard a stock analyst who was extremely bearish on newspaper stocks, especially the large papers.
They are cutting costs and laying people off all over the place, but circulation is dropping faster than they can keep up with.
The two spots of "good news" for them:
* Their "online advertising revenue" is up 5% (whoopie!)
* Since the demand for it is way, way down, the price of newsprint paper is way, way down!
ROTLFMPO...
LOL... wringing chicken necks comment... me too!
I think we talked this morning about how the left is going after bloggers. This isn't good news for sites like FR:

Just seeing what you're up to. "Soft Shoes" McGuirk in Maryland was pretty good at working procedure. Hopefully, Senator Frist has such an "expert" at his disposal as he hasn't been there long enough not to get bamboozled.
Wow Common. Amazing insight. I agree, unfortunately.
Now, we as the public have 2 options: vote Lott out of the Senate OR give him the power back. With Lott in power, will our agenda get through?
