There are probably as many Aikman homo rumors as Tom Crusie homo rumors.

And Steve Young rumors.

How's his pass blocking. For my money that's what makes Peyton the best RB ever, solid pass blocking, good blitz reading, solid pass receiving, could break the big run, and knew how to square his shoulders and convert 3rd and short. Way too many "great" RBs can't block for crap, nothing helps you keep oppossing defenses guessing like being able to keep your star RB behind the line on pass plays.

Yep, that Tripod guy was awesome. Of course having three legs is an advantage. :)

Aikman married Jerry Jones' secretary about six years ago. He's got three kids.

He was dating Lori Morgan before that, as I recall.

It's the reality of the situation. What serves the team better: converting a 3rd down and getting 3 more plays to work with, or punting because your RB is obsessed with home runs and got caught screwing around behind the line?

And Steve Young rumors.

That's a new one for me. Isn't he a Mormon? He did seem to smile a lot whenever he put his hands on the center's ass or nailed a tight end (with a perfect spiral).

Lilly's father-in-law was my doctor 20 years ago. Judging by what the doc said about him he was an even better son-in-law, husband and father than he was a football player. (And a hellava good photographer, too.)

(Must confess...my old high school dropped to 8-man and now 6-man, and while it should be easier to figure out, I just can't stay with the games. PLENTY of scoring, but too chaotic, and it seems like only 3 guys are needed to play ;)

Just look at those career yardage numbers. One of the most amazing aspects of Jerry Rice's career is that he would actually rank among the top receivers of all time as two different players:

If you separate his career into Jerry Rice #1 (his first 8 seasons) and Jerry Rice #2 (his last 12 seasons), both players would actually rank among the Top 20 all-time in both receptions and receiving yards.

Rice would also be something like the sixth-leading receiver of all time even if you only counted the numbers he accumulated after reaching the age of 30.

Who was very hot at the time. I heard her say after they broke up that she fully expected to marry Aikman.

She went out and married her bus driver, or somebody like that, on the rebound.

One game does not make a player (i don't really recall the game but if it took place between 1985 and 2003, then I watched it).

I use to always make me laugh, my Dad a huge Cowboys fan and someone who played offensive line in HS and College, would always get this look on his face when someone would say Emmit was the greatest. It was this look of "I love the Cowboys and Emmit" and then the realization that any idiot could run between the blocks that were created for him every Sunday.

I hope that puts the rumors to rest, although getting married didn't seem to help Tom Cruise.

I watched Gayle Sayers for his four years at KU. Simply amazing. The best brokenfield runner I ever saw.

I also played with him on a local basketball team in the Lawrence city league until Jack Mitchell found out about it and forced him to quit.

If the coach was looking for the first down, he would call that play...

If it's third and three or less, there isn't a running back in NFL history who I'd rather have in my backfield than the Earl of Texas (Earl Campbell).
