Do I feel safer because we've spent $300,000 ousting a tinpot dictator from a country that didn't threaten American freedom? No --- but I feel a h-ll of a lot less safe in my home because the Supreme Court says it's ok for government to seize it and give it to some politically connected friends of politicians.
Has Bush said ANYTHING about the Supreme Court's outrageous eminent domain decision last week? I want to hear about THAT, not another speech about the mess in Iraq.
Well, if the Democrats had not "borked" Judge Bork, that decision would have gone the other way now, wouldn't it?
If you want a justice system that is not so "loosey goosey", then you need to work to stop the Democrats' filibustering of every single "non-liberal" judge.
BTW, your comment about wasting money on Iraq, a "...country that didn't threaten American freedom..." is silly.
For an education, you should try peddling that nonsense to the families of the 9/11 victims. Are their murdered loved ones still "free"?
Conversely, are the intended American victims, whose murders by Jihadists were PREVENTED by our liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq, still "free"?
Shame on you for presenting such a lame attempt at "Bush-bashing"...
Gig'em!
They spend that much on red printer's ink alone.
Iraq didn't have a nuclear weapon. And we had him covered with surveillance flights and sanctions. And if, in spite of all that, he was a threat to Israel, it would be perfectly fine with me if Israel wanted to take him out, like they did his nuclear reactor years ago. But since he didn't have WMDs and didn't have a military worth a bucket of spit, he wasn't a threat to US security, so I want our money spent defending our own freedom --- and let's start at home by defending private property.
He did get a one week ban last year. I think it was due more to his disappearing from the middle of threads he started. Such as this one. Not a word from him since post #9.
Correct. I meant 300 billion.
Facts appear to mean nothing to you, therefor its not worth one's time trying to explain anything to you.Read the quotes from above of all of your liberal politicians who vividly stated Saddam's clear and present Danger. GOD BLESS President Bush and his Leaders in this War on Terror for their Courage and Leadership.
yea, the President agrees with the liberal judges in this issue. PLEASE! How long has he he been talking about judges legislating from the bench?
'Fallout' of My Chair LOL.
Your scenario, if it created a nuke winter, however might relieve all the complaints of the global warming bunch.
No. He should talk about only Iraq on Tuesday. Since when does he control the Supreme Court? He can't do much to reverse the ruling. Maybe Congress put up an Amendment protecting our private property.
And, you should feel safer that we got rid of Saddam Hussein. I can't believe you could say that and call yourself a Churchill buff.
Saddam said he would hit Israel. Rain of Fire. It was just a matter of time, and that would have started something even bigger than if he just hit the US. That, I think, is the real game.
Uh, to whom are you posting this? Did you mean to post this to the person who wrote the vanity?
heh, good timing. you posted that 5 seconds after his first post since #9.
i agree with you though. just found that funny.
When did DU'ers become supporters of private property and the Fifth Amendment? I want small goverment and I want our freedom to own and use private property protected. The Supreme Court last week did more to undermine our freedom than Saddam -- with no military and no WMDs -- ever did or ever could do. Yet Bush has said NOTHING about the outrageous eminent domain decision!
With what? He had no WMDs and we were flying over his country daily with spy planes, and had sanctions on him. Israel was always free to take him out on their own, the way they took out his nuclear reactor. But the US should use its resources on real threats to American security and freedom. Right now, the Supreme Court is the biggest threat to my freedom, because they've said I have no property rights.
The time it took me to refresh and then post was the difference. Sometimes, I hate Mondays.
I think the Kurds would disagree with you..
