Rep Tom DeLay will be giving the keynote speech at the NRA convention in Houston. FoxNews will be covering it.
"...liberal slant given a larger and larger chunk of air time...."
I was surprised when it was revealed that more FOX anchors and other employees gave to Dems. during election campaign than Republicans. It just goes to show how deeply ingrained liberalism is in all these journalism schools...leopards don't change their spots.
Whoa, I don't think that is fair, saying that all we wanted was scorched earth---
I for one, was looking forward to the speech, not a pep rally or a hate-fest at the dems....
I really don't think your statement was fair to all of us. Perhaphs there might be some Freeper that was looking for fireworks ONLY, but I didn't and I don't think the majority of the posters on this thread did!
LOL
Reid can't be investigated, Boxer can't be investigated, Pelosi neither, McDermott can't be investigated. Yeah, they're keeping the ethics committee held hostage because they know if it isn't DeLay will be found innocent, and Reid, Pelosi, Boxer and McDermott will be thrown out of Congress.
OOPS----fact=face
I am going to send $$$ to whoever runs against McCain in AZ next time. If he wins Rep. primary, I will send $$$ to whoever the Democrat is. McCain will reap what he has sown. He is OVER!!!
By the way, I just want to say that I like Fox News. It's the best thing we've got going on tv. Let us not forget the libs have been trying like mad to shut Fox up and shut them down.
I think tonight's non-coverage of DeLay's speech stunk, BUT if we slam the door on Fox we are playing right into the libs' hands. Keep that in mind.
There are always exceptions. And I'll take you at face value. But the by and large of this forum is scorched earthers. IF I miscategorized you, then please accept my apology. And to all other Freeps that this applies to, it is extened to you. I don't think many are out there.
I heard that Howard Dean gave a speech in California (I think) and said that the dems were gonna use the Terri Schiavo case and Tom Delay's "ethical problems" as their two main campaign points going into 2006!!!
Uh, oh, after the way the FReepers were going at each other over the Terri Sciavo case, it was awful, and now Dean is going to exploit that poor families pain to further his DNC and get donations.!!!!
Oh that thing really gets to me when he tries to portray himself as having clout. At first I get mad and then I just laugh at the nobody. He reminds of an adolescent trying to come off as a mature intellectual male, and it just ain't cutting the mustard.
The evil Dem. DA in Texas also tried to pull this crap on Kay Bailey Hutchinson and it was THROWN OUT cause there was nothing there!! With all these obsessive Democrats snooping around all these Republicans, I surely hope our guys are careful, and WHY DON'T THE REPUBLICANS DO SOME EXPOSING OF DEMS? I do not understand our mind set.
Beckel and Jerry Springer...what class!
The Texas dems in the Texas legislature showed their real "guts" last year when they went and hid in Oklahoma and then New Mexico in order not to have to vote, by denying a quorum---
It was the most pitiful display of political cowardice I have ever seen--but this Delay, ethics committee thing is coming close!!!
The line-up was awesome -- best State Convention I have been to ever -- cannot believe it happened in a non-election year.
They must love the sound of Fox News Alerts but I HATE IT for what that is worth! :)
I wasn't looking for scorched earth, like I said---BUT, I did enjoy his opening line about having his friends surrounding him, preferably with guns!!!
LOL--Bet that line comes up a few times on the Sunday Talk Shows---he he
Mind telling me how that will happen when the main investigating committe in charge of exposing the corruption or lack thereof of either party is held hostage by the Democrats.
Oh I bet it does too. I wonder how many were side armed there?
