Amen! A sense of humor is what sets us apart from the apes--and liberals! :)
Thanks for the link!
"its outstanding cast Ms. Smithers and the truly scary Loni Anderson. Why Loni captured the public attention instead of Jan is one of those mysteries, like Bill Clinton's second term, that sometimes make me think I'm the only sane person on the planet."
ROFL!
Can you believe that Brolin dumped her to marry Streisand?
Baliey or Les ?
May well be the funniest 30 minutes ever on TV..
Please what?
The one thing AI proves is that there are alot of people with great voices, but you need more to be successful. Carrie has a great voice, but she really has NO charisma. That being said, any of these top four are talented enough to win. They are the best of all the seasons and I won't be disappointed with anyone.
What do you have against Vonzelle, she has a great voice AND a great personality. She is so sweet looking and it apears out of all the finalists she works the hardest. As the judges have pointed out she really does pick the hardest songs to sing and it seems to me she's always singing the songs an octave higher than written, which makes the songs just a little unusual. She'd be a great American Idol, as would any of them.
Further evidence that Brolin is a "himbo" idiot.
I was saying "please" to JeanS, the second of two disruptors tonight. They're gone now.
I guess intelligent people aren't allowed to relax and just enjoy something mindless? Ease up, Chong. We're having fun.
I hadn't seen her audition before tonight's show. I thought she (Vonzelle) acted and sounded a lot older during that, compared to her bubbly sweet cutsie self now.
I think Carrie has a great voice and lots of charm. I think she has lead a pretty sheltered life but with just a little bit of tweaking (clothes, confidence) she'll be great. I don't have anything against Vonzelle personally. I just don't like here voice. I think she sings flat and shouts a lot. I wish her luck, I think she's probably a very nice person.
See post #6972. You're not Chong, of course.
Aw, heck, Jean. I spend all day in between work stints checking out the serious political stuff, and sometimes even doing something about it.
I enjoy this, and I'm glad the chat threads are on FR because when there's something going on of a lighter nature, Freepers are the folks I prefer to discuss it with. I've checked out the discussion boards of various TV shows that I have an interest in, and none of them approach the savvy and lively intelligence of FR. Even the 24 board is somewhat elementary politically, and the American Idol boards are just hopeless., Here, we have a common foundation from which to start, and the conversation is much more enjoyable, and 98% of the time, a lot less frustrating.
I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to explain the 2000 election to the uninformed during a casual, nonserious conversation. I'm pleased to do that, of course, and have on non-FR boards, but it's time-consuming when all you want to do is relax a little.
Jean, don't you believe in having any fun? Like I told the other one, I spend hours on the serious stuff here every single day.
We ARE serious, but know how to relax and have fun too.
Besides, this thread is months old already. It's been going on all season long. There are only about 20 of us that even post here regularly.
Why does this bother you so much?
Next week, I wouldn't put it past the fans to keep Vonzell and send Bo packing. I personally like Bo very much, but I'm nervous about his chances. The two women are formidable competition.
My favorite performance so far of Bo was "Whipping Post", second fave is Los Lonely Boys' "How Far from Heaven", on which Bo's voice sounded surprisingly sweet and clear.
