His debute CD was pretty good ... I think the audio mix was a little aggressive, and didn't really showcase his voice as well as it could have. I think that was when he was under the control of 19 Entertainment - hopefully his new representation will get him better production values!

Fox is trying to squeeze all the advertising dollars into their revenue that they can get.

It's only business.

Sounds like you win tonight though with the man who killed his ex-wife and the little boy that found his mother and sister dead. Isn't life great?

With news like that, nobody wins. :(

I'll see your arsonist and raise you two toddlers found in a shallow pond.

Where was that at? I think I heard something about that.

Yes, a person who goes out to mow the lawn for the upteenth time in his life, doesn't expect to keel over and die in the middle of such activity. Makes us all realize that life is transitory, and when it's your time...man, the Grim Reaper's comin' for ya.

Isn't that the truth? A few years back we got a shocking call. My cousin and her family were out of state, some sort of sports finals in another state. Maybe soccer. Her husband coached the team. He's in his late 30's and up and keels over and dies there on the field in the middle of his son's game.

Next week -- my prediction (I am zero for a gagillion) Vonzelle finally falls and Scott continues on his Chris-like ("The Apprentice") run for one more week.

Better wait and see how they do. Any of them can have a bad week and be gone like Constantine.

My sympathies on your loss. It's sobering to think about the relatively short space of life that is alloted to humankind. On the other hand, good news -- more people are living to the age of 100 than ever before. Guess it largely depends on who you choose as your parents. (smile)

Thanks. That happened a few years ago, but what an eye opener. You just never know when your time is up.

Just saw the show (I'm on Pacific time) and I am OUTRAGED!! (Which only goes to show that I am taking all this waaaaay too seriously, but still!) I think we can all agree that no matter how one feels about Constantine/Lt Dan, he is still far more talented and personable than Slingblade. Constantine chose a very bad song last night, but he didn't stink up the joint like Fatboy. This really makes me angry that the worst-one-wins crowd has managed to do this, and it worries me that they may manage to sink the entire show with this childish vendetta. Grrrrr ....

I have no idea who will win now. My money was on Constantine. I just hope the winner isn't Fatboy. If that happens, it may not be the end of the show, but it will certainly be the end of my viewership.

I found out where the large numbers of votes for Fatboy are coming from....

Fack is the result of someone typing too fast and using a k in the place of the more correct e. My face is red became my fack is red (on the daily dose thread) and caused and EXTREME amount of mirth, mayhem and bad spelling on the dose one evening.

Dennis DeYoung was the lead singer of Styx (70's-80's).

I've been pleasantly surprised that she has good comic timing. She can be very funny.

I've gotta say... while I have no liking for Constantine, it is a travesty that he is out and Scott is still in at this stage of the competition. This is like dealing with Jasmine all over again, except Scott is nowhere as easy on the eyes...

this is no longer a singing competition. Vonzie and Scottie both stunk up the joint

Yeah, but this was one bad week for Vonzelle, whereas Scott has sucked for a while. Vonzelle always chooses the most difficult songs... I think she needs to back down the difficulty slightly so she has a better chance of nailing it.

In the first season (or 2nd)? didn't the judges bring some contestant back that was voted off? For some reason I think they did that - does anyone else remember this? If so I would think they'd bring back Constantine.
