Yah... long hair in convertibles is troublesome. Mostly because behind the windshield the wind is coming from the back, not the front.
I always carry a couple of extra hats, on the off chance that I might actually have a woman passenger. [sigh]. A hat seems to mostly fix the problem. Maybe with a pony tail... presto... :-)
I *really* like having a convertible. I may not go back to a car with a hard top. Even if the top is up for weeks because the weather is crummy... there's just nothing like dropping that top on a nice day to improve one's mood.
I'm off...school's startin!
See you later!
Uh... uh...
That's why women wear sunglasses and scarves when riding in convertibles! ;o)
It'll be fun!
Once the weather settles into "nice" I intend to start walking too. Plus once the both of us are here we can walk together. After dark, even; it's safe enough but I'm too nervous to do anything like that.
Having someone with you means less chance for your imagination to run wild. ;-)
I know...even here I sometimes get nervous walking in the evenings, which is silly.
Exactly...
Of course for the first month that you're out here I'll be finishing off the semester and rather insane, but then the summer starts. Mmm. Asked yesterday to work 3/4 time this summer, with time out for ShootMoot and the HP weekend.
Yes, but it got Hope Lange in big trouble in Moment to Moment.
What, the scarf?
Isadora Duncan died when her long scarf became entangled in the wheel of the convertible in which she was riding...
Do you know the movie Moment to Moment? I wouldn't expect you too. I just remember because it's one of my mom's favorites - from the 60s I think. I think she finally found it on VHS a couple of years ago.
There's nothing wrong about fantasizing about going postal. Is there?
I've never seen that movie. Seems like a long flowing scarf in a convertible would be the same trouble as long flowing hair. It would only fly around and slap you in the face!
I certainly hope not. :-)
Actually in the movie, she "drops" her scarf along the side of the road where she dumped the body of her lover the night before. She stops to get the scarf and is seen by the local policemen.
In a twist of fate, he's not really dead, but has temporary amnesia.
It's one of them bon bons and box of kleenex chick flix.
For the record, I did qualify it as "one of my mom's favorites."
I bought Joshua some red seedless grapes at Aldis the other day...I don't remember how many pounds, but the normal amount you would buy already bagged up in the store, you know? I paid $1.98 for them.
I just went though and picked the last few off and put them on a little plate for him and it dawned on me that out that entire bunch there was not one bad grape!
I think that's a good buy!
I love Aldis...did you know? LOL!!
I've never seen that movie, no...
My friend has a sonogram scheduled for next week and I get to go along. :-D how cool.
And today there's a campus-wide Windows Security Tips meeting I hafta go to... oh well.
Right, and the convertible makes it easier when the driver, who can shoot, has to switch places with the hapless girl passenger. You know, the moment in every good action movie where he yells "drive!" and she starts freaking out.
I'd say that sounds right. Nobody with a bow, though.
But then, I just dropped in. Clearly I've been on the Marches far too long.
Cheers!
