How cute!!
It's funny, I can handle being with lots of folks, and can chat with just about anybody. SSQ doesn't know how I do it. He, on the other hand, is just as happy being with just the family; he doesn't care about meeting new people. Now, when we're with friends, folks we really like, he's just as gregarious as can be, but he chooses who he wants to be with, and enjoys their company.
The three older kids are mostly like SSQ, even to the point that the school principal asked me once if I was sure that David (#2 son) and Clare were my kids! I told her yeah, I watched them being born, so I know no one switched them, but that she'd better be careful what she asked for cause Joseph was coming to school the following hear. He is the most like me, and the one with whom I argue the most. ;o)
This whole socialization thing is funny. Folks want to force kids to 'be friends with' other kids, but what they don't get is that maybe that kid doesn't want to be friends with just anybody; he might want to have just one or two friends with whom he's comfortable, and who allow him to be the way he is, and enjoy the things he likes without a lot of hassle.
Yeah, she should let him go the Adult Church. He's likely bored stiff at the kiddie services.
