New verse:

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
They actually tried that. Publix had an online grocery store called Publix Direct.
You go online, order your groceries, pay for it and enter in what time you want it delivered. Voila! Right to your door. Quite a few friends of mine used it and loved it.
Yet apparently, the idea didn't do as well as expected and quietly disappeared less than a year later.
Heh.Closest SSQ and I ever came to blows was doing wallpaper in the first house we bought. Needless to say, we've never done it again. I don't much care for wallpaper. I'd much rather paint, and it's cheaper to change colors that way.
I would love something like that. If I coulda just faxed them this list and had them get it ready, that would be great. I imagine there's stuff like that "out there" but Aldi's is pretty low tech...that's how they keep the prices low.
There's one checker (sometimes but rarely two) and one stocker. Nobody has to ever go outside and haul up all the carts. The carts are in good condition and dry, under a covered area.
It's a European store, German actually...and I'm not a big fan of "furn" companies, but I'm really sold on this place. The chocolate is fantastic...I'm bringing some to OT at ShootMoot!
Price Chopper at least has a list making program...so does Shaw's. And has all the sales on-line.
I'm not quite as careful as 2J, but I admit I DO mostly shop the sales, keep track of prices, and will buy different things at the two different grocery stores I have in my area. The local place has much better prices on eggs and dairy, for example, and the bigger store has better prices on vegetables. Meat is a toss-up, depending who has the better sales that week.
I'm guessing in another five years, there'll be a workable variant of that system. E-commerce is becoming so commonplace... as long as they can keep the delivery fee low, it should work.
Belgian...the chocolate is Belgian.
I shop Wal-mart for the staples and then get "luxury" goods, or the in-between trips emergency supplies, at one of the grocery chains. It more or less works.
Does sound like super weather, hope you had the 'sun roof' open. :-)
LOL!! Where'd he get the notion that you're supposed to have babies at 21? I wasn't even married when I was 21; got married the following year, and didn't have our first until I was 26!
Heh! I dunno.
He followed that up by saying "Why'd you have to be friends for four years? What took you so long to figure out you oughta get married??"
I said "Ask your dad...it's his fault." LOL
Believe or not, I didn't. The traffic is so terrible here that it isn't worth the noise and exhaust. *sigh*
I save the sun roof for weekends. :-D
Come to think of it...you know Andy? His mom is about my age...and he's 22. I think I was discussing it with Steve and saying that kid could be my kid! Matthew probably overheard it...
Heh, know what you mean. There have been a few days when it works, not many though. Weekends are definitely different.
Just make sure you keep your clothes on...
hey master bowman... jest disced and overseeded the pasture and lane with lespedese and ladino clover... need tuh feed them criiters dontchuh know...
I know it sounds a bit different, just one of those things. LSA is really good. We haven't done a ceiling in years, luckily we haven't had to.
