Well, I can tell now, when the prices change, because that's not what my list (and now my database) shows...prior to this, I had no idea!
But I only know Aldis and Walmart, cause they are the two I most often shop at. But mostly it's just Aldis...I went with a pen and paper and documented the price of everything I buy there.
But see, I have to...because they don't take checks or my particular debit card. I gotta make sure I have enough cash in hand to get what I need. Which is why I've gone to all this effort.
This program has made the whole thing much much easier! My favorite part is where it tallies my cost! I would not be surprised if it were a few cents off, but I was really tickled that I had it exact today!
I am NOT an organized person by any means...mainly I'm just confused and seeking ways to be not quite so confused! LOL
I hope you don't feel ~used~ or anything, hon.
Evenin' everyone!
I don't even remember how much I paid for my *car*, let alone something like cheese.
It's not that price isn't important... of course it is. It's just that it is perishable information. It only matters for a specific instance in time, and it is thereafter completely useless information and can be discarded to (hopefully) make room for some other bit of information. Not that this ever actually happens...
Ha!
When you come to see me, I'll take you to Aldis. You don't have Aldis there?
Every single night I say the same thing to Matthew when he gets out of the shower.
"Go dry your hair".
What is it with this kid not applying a towel to his head???
Far simpler!
But so few hardware stores carry those. Fools...
Well, to answer them in order
Yup.
Well, it has been implied over the years but never ruled on by a judge.
The town was a lot smaller then...
And we were a bit younger then and didn't know there were things that couldn't or shouldn't be done. :-)
Hi Ruthy!!
I'm fixin' to log off...Steve'll be home soon.
Evening Ruthie. Hope all is well in your part of theshire.
What a treat... I don't even go to Costco with my Dad. ;~D
We're always missin' each other, sis. :)
I shouldn't be online yet either since the kids aren't settled yet, but it's so nice to just sit for a minute....
On the bright side... only 14 more days till payday!
Yes, thank you! Today was one of the prettiest days we've had in awhile.
Temps in the 60s-low 70s, crisp blue skies and bright sun with the loveliest cool breezes. Wish it was like that more than just a few days a year. *sigh*
Guess who? ~snicker~
Aldis is tiny...not a big place. It's unusual. I like the prices most of all, and the product is very good (not too many name brands but not that crap you get at Dollar General either.)
It's just an unusual little store that closes at 7pm every evening, you rent a grocery cart and get your money back when you bring it back and put it away, you bring your own bags or you can use the boxes they have sitting around (I keep three permanently in the back of my car.)
It's usually not crowded...and there's usually just one or two checkers who actually get to know you and ask how you're doing...
I just got mine into bed...they're listening to FOTR...the unabridged version.
Did you make Ramius for him?
:~D
One of my biggest regrets is not being able to just stay home with my kids. My mom is terrific, but spoils them terribly.
Alyson never goes to bed earlier than 10pm, all because my mom lets her take naps at 5 or 6 o'clock. Grrrr...
No matter what I say, it just keeps happening.
Sure did. :-D
The only prices I know are for sodas, because they're ridiculously expensive, so I know their base price at every store and just check week-to-week where I can find 'em on sale.
But good for you! I've often thought a grocery store could do great business by having an online service - you enter what you want to buy, it spits out a price and maybe coupons for related products (you're buying spaghetti, they offer 15% off the sauce). Would be interesting to program.... cooler would be if you enter it and your load's waiting for you when you got there.
Joseph taped "House MD" for us, so we'll watch that in a few minutes.
