Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Metallica!! LOL! You do look like you're still Entmooting! Did anyone ever hear how the Castle fared with the two hurricanes that hit Melbourne this year?

Yeah, I am sure I'd tire of it after an entire cold winter, but we could never get enough of it growing up in VA.
Good night, everyone.

Yeah, it was always a treat when I was growing up in MS. I remember one 3-4" snowfall when I was about 10, then another one like that when I was in college. My Mama wouldn't let my sister and me drive in it that time. She would only let us ride with my cousin who had come down to MS from RI to go to school, assuming that he was skilled at driving in snow. LOL!
Nite, Sam.

Like your jammies and the Clue Bat! The hair is just like yours, too!
The pics of Fort Collins are nice. SSQ was out there last year for a meeting with some folks in his company. He said it was a lovely place. If he has to go out again, maybe I could come out with him!

Oh, yes, do come if you get the chance! But if you come you might want to stay... well, maybe it's too "Northern" for you, but I love it.
I'm happy I found the way to the roof! In the future I plan to drag friends up there for picnic lunches - the janitor saw me up there but he seemed to be happy someone was enjoying the place. It's really neat to see the town spread out around you.

What sounds best to you?I dunno what Perkins and Bob Evans are! Of the other two, I've only eaten at Olive Garden once, but really liked it...so I guess that'd be my vote - though how hard they are to get to matters, too! Do you know if they're right off the interstate?

So... got some pictures hereWow...it's gorgeous! For some reason I wasn't imagining there being trees much at all. I don't know why - it wasn't really a conscious thing, but I'm realizing how much my mental picture didn't match the real thing. Mmmm...trees! Very nice...
And thanks for the campus pictures as well. ;-) Keepin' my fingers crossed...

Heh...love that picture, lil!
Good morning, all! We're getting a little less snow than some, but it's still comin' down good out there. We had maybe three to four inches already and the roads are dicey. I wasn't sure I was gonna make it up the hill to work, but I managed it, though it was a bit more of an adventure than I prefer...
I imagine it'll be a vey quiet day. Many of the faculty won't be in, and it's possible they'll close early if the snow keeps adding up. We're only supposed to get 5-10, though.

:-( Wish you could kick this!
There's a bad cold / flu thing going around here, too. My boss was out yesterday and still has a bad cough, as so several other folks in the area.
I suppose coming to work with a surgical mask on wouldn't be polite...

I dunno, Suzi. I haven't mustered up the time or energy to drive up and check in out. :P
At this point, I just want to hear from ksen since their neighborhood had a tornado go through it last weekend.
