Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's lookin' like we'd be in your area at lunch time (twelve or twelve thirty?) on the 5th of April, provided nothing changes and we don't get super stuck in traffic!

That may not have been a typo, but a unique skillset.

What's "in [my] area"? Elhart, IN, just W of I-80 and US-131 is just about the most convenient. The I-80 corridor is wide open.

I looked for a rose or flower to put in my pic, but they didn't have one. :(

Elkhart / South Bend...I think that's what had been mentioned before. Elkhart's probably a lot better, actually, since it's smaller and earlier on our route.
There are a coupla things that may change the schedule, which we'll be checking into ASAP: my grandmother lives in IN and MAY want to try to meet up with us earlier in the day (but it'd be a haul either for her or for us, so I dunno, especially if she'll be at the wedding not long after), and I have another friend from the Ann Arbor area who might possibly be able to meet up with us that day, though it's lookin' like a "no". But if one or both of those things happen, it might be later in the day. I'll know pretty quickly.

I like the OOPS part. It just might make Rosie's resume stand out as someone who isn't afraid to admit mistakes and move on.
