Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We can't know for sure yet what our plans are. We've got to get this trip to AZ in March behind us.

Get more blankets! And move the mattress... you'll be quite ready to move out by closing-day, won't you?
Ugh, got to go to a group project session now. Bleah.

And in the just-in-case-I-didn't-have-enough-stress, I've just discovered there was a GLARINGLY obvious error on the resume I submitted. Horribly obvious. I accidentally sent the wrong one, and it was one I hadn't fixed the references contact info on. The same e-mail address and phone extention was copied and pasted to two different people, and the second person didn't have the right name typed in.
I could just cry.
Dad says I should just e-mail them and confess the error, but I'm afraid that'll make me look like even MORE of a loser.

D'OH!
Well, all you can do is fix it..no matter what they think, I guess.
Oh, I gotta log off. I got a splitting headache. I waited too long to eat lunch, I guess.

I'd send them the fixed one... It can't hurt.

Maybe God's teachin' me humility? ;-)
I guess I can send a quick little note just saying "it has been called to my attention that the refernce information on my current resume is incorrect. The corrected information is as follows:"

Yeah, I guess.
I just wonder if that's already lost me the position.
My gosh, I can be SO STUPID sometimes. *slaps forehead*

It's a bummer... but if the mistake is going to cost you, you aren't losing anything MORE by sending the fixed one. They may even give you more of a look than before.

Do you think I should send it in its entirety, or just the messed up page?
Did I mention I'm really mad at me for doin' this?

Since it's e-mail...the cover page baffled me a bit last time! I dunno if I could do it again. I made a separate one rather than counting the e-mail as the cover page. Dunno what's kosher, really.

Ahh...now that I don't know. Last time we did any kind of resume stuff, it was sent with a cover letter, printed up real nice at Kinkos on special cotton bond paper...
But that was in 1997!
I guess lots has changed since then. Steve has sent his resume via email, but I don't exactly know how he did it.
I feel like I have meat cleaver in my head.

I'd send the whole thing again, and ask them to disregard the first whole set.
Chances are, they have just printed and stacked the attachments everyone sent, and if it's hard to look through them and collate the new page with the original one, they may not bother. This way, they'll at least have print one good set, and your odds are 50-50 that's the one they look at.

Don't feel bad. We once got a resume from a woman who said "I have experience in profreading."
