Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You should consider taping it and submitting it to director as a sound track idea...maybe an Oscar in your future?

Whoa...
Dude, I don't put on a jacket until it gets down to 40 degrees. If it hits 60, it's shorts-time.

Is it snowing yet? I heard the PRC is supposed to get up to 7", a blizzard for there.
Took the risk of washing my truck, hoping it won't rain again today. Probably will, though. Very muggy right now, that'll change soon.

~snort~Yeah...life is tough, isn't it? ;-)
I think I'll really like the CO climate, though. A bit milder would be nice...

Oh, yeah, milder is right. Though it's very changeable. I check the weather every morning just to make sure we're not going to have an afternoon blizzard, stuff comes down of thoser mountains so fast you can watch it change.

Is it snowing yet? I heard the PRC is supposed to get up to 7", a blizzard for there. We're on that rain/snow/sleet line here in Richmond, but yes, it's snowing west of us and it's heading north towards Lil', Suzi and Rosie.

LOL! I should ~know~ better than to complain about temps in the 50s in here! :-P
In my defense, I would not mind if it was in the 50s and stayed in the 50s. It's the jumping around from 80s to 50s that destroys my sinuses and makes everyone around here feel like crap-on-a-stick!

Prolly we're waiting for paperback ;-) Last one was lent me by a neighbor. Good book, though - hits the nail on the head RE terrorism and the Left's lack of will to go after it or worse.
This one is better, of that type, I recommend it highly (so do PJ O'Rourke and Milton Friedman):

My sinuses are messed up too - I think part of it's because the mangos are pollinating, though.

I guess it's all in what you're used to!
Our weather jumps around a LOT. Just fer instance, it's not unusual for it to be five below at night and up in the twenties during the day, or - in the summer - in the forties at night and up in the eighties in the day. Much more variation than I know they get some places.

Very unusual. We haven't had any snow, the ski resorts aren't open, and we haven't had rain either. I'm not saying its the apocalypse, but Seattle and surrounds are going to have serious water problems this summer without snowpack.
