New verse:

That's what the septic guy suggested!
He was extremely helpful. I'm going to write a letter to the company he works for and tell them how much I appreciated him. He was respectful, very helpful and took a bit of time to explain the system to me.
I want to make a point of telling them how satisfied I am with the service he provided...I don't think people do that enough nowadays.
Ha!
It sure was a nasty job. Again, I think the company the man worked for ought to know how well he did the job...even though it's not a very pleasant job. We really appreciated it.
PS...it's always good to see you!
Meh. I should get my meds and food subsidized. I'm poor, and I have a much longer life expectancy than Granny, so I need luxury more than she does.
Man, just trying to think like a lib makes my head hurt.
What are you feeding those cats? We buy 20 pound bags for $15-20 and a bag lasts MONTHS. Granted, he's only one... but he weighs like 2.5 cats.
Heh...I've gotten pretty good at feeding myself VEY inexpensively. I haven't done as well for the cats...mostly because they're pickier 'n I am.
Just sold the glider rocker. *sigh* But the money is nice to have. Now I can actually buy gas (ooh, and maybe chocolate!) before payday...
Well...it cost a bit over five bucks for the bag. And I'm eating beans and tortillas this week. ;-) Homemade, too. And I got cheese for free. Oatmeal for breakfast, which is also cheap.
But I guess it's pretty close. My coffee probably means I cost more to keep than the cats do...
When you get out here, you should have little more to spend on food! I insist on real meat at least once a day.
Cats, bah. If you let them be outside cats they could feed themselves. There are these really dumb geese that live in the parking lot, surely the cats could eat one of those every few days...
Even funnier than the name was the hot summer day I was at a stop light with a cute gal in a covertible in the lane beside me. The "Sweet Thang" truck pulled up on the other side of her and the two guys riding in it started tossing pick-up lines at the woman in the convertible.
Once I get there, I can go back to buying the big budget bags. ;-) Right now, I'm hesitant to buy hugh bags since I don't wanna shlep it with us.
And yeah, I'll be able to buy meat again if I get a good job! Kewl. You'll have a decent sized freezer, right? I could buy myself big packs o' meat at Wal-Mart and freeze stuff...
It depends on the definition of "decent-sized". I grew up with a spare freezer (we called it Darth, because it made a Vader-esque noise, and we mourned its passing)
You can't fit a side of beef in it, but it's passable. I always buy Wal-Mart large packs and freeze it up.
Heh.
Heh, especially for the septic tank pumper guys!
As long as family packs of meat fit in there...and bags of frozen vegetables...that's decent in my book!
Starting to plan out the trip. Gave up on waiting for Margaret. Dad thinks we should plan on fairly short distances and take it easy rather than figuring on twelve or fourteen hour days. I suppose he's right, though it may mean one extra night on the road.
Still...if we're staying at Motel 6s or the like and stay out of the big towns, it should be pretty cheap.
Let me know what you finally come up with!
It appears I am at last over being sick. I've still got a bit of a cough - but I can sing again, and hit the notes I want to hit. It's amazing how much I took that for granted.
There are a lot of weirdoes in the world who don't sing at all! My coworker mentioned yesterday about taking a date to play pool, so naturally I warned him about trouble, and T, and P, and pool, and he looked at me like I had two heads.
Dad thinks we should stay under 600 miles / 8 hours a day to avoid getting too burned out and to allow for stops...which would bring us into Fort Collins around midday on Friday the 8th, looks like. Three overnights on the way.
That'd give us a little leeway to deal with kitties or troubles and time to veg out a bit in the evenings.
Dunno if I should bother making reservations or if we should just plan where to stay and check in when we get there. Probably Motel 6s, so I wouldn't think they'd be overbooked.
If you're travelling mid-week, you shouldn't have any problem with getting a room.
That's what I'm thinkin'...though I DO want to more or less figure where we're stopping each day.
You mean you don't get the $14 bag of Eukanuba?!
