Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hmm, actually, now that I think about it, it was a geometric progression...

On the other hand, it's WRONG that I'm never gonna see all the flowers I planted last fall. *sniff*Ask the new owners if they would take some pictures and send them to you. I'd bet they'd be glad to do it!

Hi Sam. Weren't you visiting your daughter up here in the formerly frozen North? It has gotten quite pleasant up here in the last few days.

I feel dreadful, thanks for asking. I'm staying in bed all day. Unfortunately I still have homework due, so headache or no headache, I can't just sleep.
I'll have to work a little extra on Friday, but I can handle that.

Ugh! Sorry to hear you aren't any better! Get some rest...
Everyone here is getting something that sounds similar to what you've had. I hope I can avoid it...

*sigh*
I'm bored. It's vey slow, which means I should be doing upgrades, but the last two people I upgraded were the sort that freak out if a button moves a milimeter to the left or right and in one case I got scolded by the boss for not doing enough to explain, so I'm a little gunshy right now.
But if I don't get moving on that again soon, I'll get in trouble.
Can't win.

I hope you can avoid it too! I'm just coughing and coughing away here. And I've got a headache, too.

Are you dehydrated a bit, maybe?
That gives me a killer headache.
Gah...want this afternoon done! I have those people coming to look at the table and chairs and I need to at least CLEAR said table and chairs...I was puttin' stuff on the table as I've been sorting.
I'm hoping to be pretty much done packing by Monday.

Yeah, what Rosie said. Force those fluids, even if you don't feel like it. You need to have your system flushed! LOL!

Closing isn't until the 15th of March. But I have Monday off...which means an extra day to box things and clear out the basement and do a dump run. There will, of course, be things I won't pack until I relocate to Dad's house, which will be...well, soon! I figure if my stuff is out of the house, it'll be easier to get it good and clean before the closing date.
The cats are the main snag in all this, so I could really use prayers. Dad's OK (though not happy) with my living there with Tam for a few weeks. He would NOT be OK with three cats.

Yup, lots of fluids. Haven't felt like eating today yet. And I'm sort of resting - at least, I'm in bed, even though I'm doing homework. If I finish this maybe I'll just lie here and watch some anime.

Can you perhaps persuade the bothers to watch the other two, should they not have homes, when you relocate?
