Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

He was kinda a "cleaner" fer a Rail/Transport company... when they had a location in trouble, he was sent for a few weeks to fire/hire/fix/terminate the problem... bein' a jarhead, he was good at it... but the company rode him hard... he was on the road about 40 weeks outta the year...
his family is still in Iowa., but he's lookin' fer a brighter place... hope he finds it in Tejas...

My trouble is that I like my job - and being close to my family! So this is tough. But that's a good thing Rosie. It's not like yer runnin' from yer family or your job or the law.

~sigh~
I made notes on the side of my paper during yesterday's meetings. Used a form of shorthand so's noone would know my mind was wandering.
Now I wish I knew what the heck they said...

It does mean people have trouble understanding, though! They don't know what I'm in search of when I have it pretty good here.
I don't know either! I just know it's time to go elsewhere. And mostly I just keep tellin' 'em I want an adventure, and I've got nothing keeping me from adventuring...

It does mean people have trouble understanding, though! But we understand, what else do you need? ;-)
Seriesly though, I know what you mean. My Mom tried for 10 years to get me to move back home. There's about as much opportunity there as there is for you where you are. (small, rural, southwest Virginia town).
She finally stopped after we moved to Richmond. She's happier with us here than when we were in DC.

Explain the coolness of my post number!It was a numeric progression... 31 = 3, 32 = 9, 33 = 27. So: 3, 9, 27.
Might be able to get them to do it. IF they come up!
Well, if nothing comes up then you won't be missing anything.... ;P
