Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning!
Had a call about the table and chairs this morning...they're comin' to see them tonight. Hope they take them! Not much furniture left...just the desk, the free/dump stuff, and my chair, which I'm still kinda hopin' to cram into the van.
And tonight I'm gonna call the lady about the cats - the lady who the vet's recommended as being good at placing them. I meant to call last night, but my brother showed up and we ended up watching a movie until about nine, and then I thought it might be too late.
I feel like there are about a zillion things I'm forgetting I'm supposed to do, though I can't think of anything. I hate that feeling...

In February?
That's just wrong...
On the other hand, it's WRONG that I'm never gonna see all the flowers I planted last fall. *sniff*

Usually they do. :~D
I haven't let the lawnmowers in the yard lately - they go over and eat the dropped birdseed and squirrel food... :~\

Good morning... that's a cool post number.

Whenever you figure they're supposed to come up, ask a sibling to drive by the place and take a picture of them to send to you.

Explain the coolness of my post number! Does it have anything to do with the 2 and 7 adding up to 9?
Yeah, that's an idea. Might be able to get them to do it. IF they come up!

"Olivier's wartime version made me think of Sam...the sets and backdrops look like those medieval paintings." Are you talking about a movie, OT? Sorry, have been away for a week.
