In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs as always. Subbie is also here for THREE days. So you better be nice, otherwise you get coal on your face. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
This word is pronounced tuk er

There were some real royal idiots out on rte 13 yesterday........total morons.
xs, just heard on FNN that with windchill, DC is 0 degrees. I don't think I've ever been in 0 degrees!
The rancher could have sold the water/mineral rights to someone else. That was done a lot in CA.
I also heard on FNN that in the beginning of February you're going to have 60 degree weather. This is supposed to be a short (well, not to you), but strong weather front.
History channel buff here.
My dad said I was tenacious. Pretty much the same thing, eh?
While you are checking back on the plats and plots and all, you might want to find out who owned your house all of the years prior to you buying it. You just may find out who your little friend is in the downstairs bedroom.
It would be a fine channel if it wasn't for all the left wing commentary. They don't even hide it. During their "French Revolution" show they had on as one of the talking heads the guy who wrote the book "A Defense of Marxism"
For some reason Cyber and I watch PBS and BBC on Saturday. I kind of get tired of politics every single day.
I know what you mean, though.
t5 and her hub built the house slippy, but she thinks it is built where lots o people are buried.
it was funny because Father O'brien marveled that the rectory actually received calls asking if Mass would be cancelled, as if it ever would be. that was kind of my reaction. if it is a mortal sin to miss Mass, what kind of sin is it to not provide a Mass for your flock? regardless of the weather. it is up to individuals to determine whether they can truly make it to Mass safely or not. no excuse for a Pastor to not provide a Mass.
Gabz, if the catholic churches in your neck of the woods cancelled Mass i can't help but think they are of a very liberal variety, meaning Protestant-like, in outlook.
Hello ladies:
Got back about an hour ago from grocery shopping. The roads are very clear here in the suburbs outside DC. The salt trucks and plows have done a fine job. Though the shopping center's parking lot is another story.
Got my obligatory gallon of milk and toilet paper. I was low on both. Decided while shopping that it's good stew weather. Have a huge pot simmering away downstairs in the kitchen.
Jack.
FNC is now announcing that Johnny Carson has passed away.
Norfolk and Salisbury.
Dang.
Which shpping center, Jack? Always looking for new business...LOL
Howdy, Jack!!!
Hubby came home from work early because nothing was going on. He said the main road through these parts (Rte 13) is fine.........but secondary roads are iceskating rinks.
I talked to my SIL in Dover this morning.....the storm we got socked with the day after Christmas missed them completely.......it's payback time for them up there. She lives in a cul-de-sac and said there was more than a foot on top of her car.
I agree today is a stew kind of day, but instead we decided on a cheese fondue. something different, we haven't had it in a while. I wouldn't have thought about it except the box with the fondue pot nearly hit the floor from the vibrations of the dryer....but I caught it just in the nick of time!
I hate being the bearer of bad news.
who does st James use? the lot was plowed.
