Hello ladies:
Got back about an hour ago from grocery shopping. The roads are very clear here in the suburbs outside DC. The salt trucks and plows have done a fine job. Though the shopping center's parking lot is another story.
Got my obligatory gallon of milk and toilet paper. I was low on both. Decided while shopping that it's good stew weather. Have a huge pot simmering away downstairs in the kitchen.
Jack.
Which shpping center, Jack? Always looking for new business...LOL
Howdy, Jack!!!
Hubby came home from work early because nothing was going on. He said the main road through these parts (Rte 13) is fine.........but secondary roads are iceskating rinks.
I talked to my SIL in Dover this morning.....the storm we got socked with the day after Christmas missed them completely.......it's payback time for them up there. She lives in a cul-de-sac and said there was more than a foot on top of her car.
I agree today is a stew kind of day, but instead we decided on a cheese fondue. something different, we haven't had it in a while. I wouldn't have thought about it except the box with the fondue pot nearly hit the floor from the vibrations of the dryer....but I caught it just in the nick of time!
