I hated her the minute I saw her. (Michelle) It seemed totally phony bringing her in. Too young, too good looking, too defensive, too uptight.
"Phony" is a good word in descibing Michelle, IMO. Well, we'll see how it ends up with her being head of CTU.
I'll try to rent the DVDs of 24's previous seasons one of these days also... would be interesting to learn about the past histories of these characters.
I will check out past seasons of 24 ASAP. Thanks for letting me know she's in seasons 2 and 3.

Chloe was also in season 3. I've heard she'll return, possibly as early as next week's episode.
Went to bed last night and just rechecking the thread this morning.
what line was that? I must have missed it. I thought she said to Jack something about her wanting Jack to see that Paul made it and did not die.
Was there something else?
They're all pretty good, IMO. But I think Season 3 is the most intense (so far).

No I was talking about the previews for next week's show. They show her and Jack at the top of the hospital by the helicopter bringing him in...made it look like she was angry with Jack for Paul getting shot. Jack's saying he did the best he could. I think she'll be all upset and Paul will save the day, as he is dying he'll tell her how Jack saved his life and then give her his permission for her to love Jack. :( Hope that's not how it will play out, cause if I were Jack I tell her to hit the curb. Her character is losing some back bone.
It really helped me to rent season 1 first.
It was interesting to see Jack and his wife, and other things that were going on in their relationship. I'll say no more.
But season 1 first worked for me!

1. The way the CTU routinely sends teams of 2 or 3 agents into a virtual war zone with no backup.
2. The idea that CTU would have sent Jack and Paul alone into a defense contractor facility to search the system for information. In reality, Jack and Paul would have been accompanied by the National Guard and/or Special Forces and a General would have ordered every single employee and officer of the company out of the facility.
3. When the CTU/special forces soldier shot the security executive from the defense contractor in the sporting goods store, he would have secured not only the assault rifle the man dropped but would have also secured the pistol that was on the floor right by him rather than assuming the man was dead and moving on to find Jack.
If our homeland security were staffed with people as incompetent as the writers have made the CTU operatives, we would have had a dozen 9/11's and Madrid subway bombings and dirty nuke bombs and similar attacks in the last 3-1/2 years.
He's not cool, he's room temperature. AIDS has a way of doing that to people.

Oh yeah, 24 jumped the shark, way too much "Yeah, right" unbelievable escapes, coincidences, over-the-top-ism, and silly soap opera concurrent themes. I just enjoy it for what it is, a fast-paced TV show with a current theme.
